Buffy was written so that the end of each season could be the end of the series.

Yeah, apart from s6, obviously but then if you've got that far, what's one more season? big_smile

Just don't watch Beer Bad (s4) or Doublemeat Palace (s6). Ugh!

I only said stop at s3 as the whole High School arc ends there and everything is nicely wrapped up. I was establishing a get out point for Trey as he said he didn't have time to watch all 7 seasons. I think the first 3 are fine for this. As dull and uneven certain seasons occasionally become (s4 and s6, mostly) I still love the hell out of the show.

I'd at least watch the pilot (Welcome to the Hellmouth/The Harvest) and Prophecy Girl. More stuff will make sense after that (what happens in Prophecy Girl is mentioned a lot, especially concerning the arrival of a certain person in s2 and another certain person in s3 big_smile)

This is for Trey- If you want to, and I mean want to watch Buffy, you can watch the first 3 seasons then stop. There's no real need to carry on after that if you don't want to (though season 5 is awesome and features one of the bravest pieces of television ever). But the first 3 seasons (56 eps) will do.

Has anyone read the Serenity one-shot comic about Wash, written by Patton Oswalt? Now there's a combination big_smile

I'm really annoyed I can't get a decent enough connection at my flat to watch it live (I'm using a Wifi hotspot). If only because I am bored big_smile

One day I'll see a live show again (the last one I was at was ID4)

I get the same thing about BOONDOCK SAINTS. Apparently anyone with taste is expected to hate that movie, but I don't. Sure it's derivative and apparently Duffy thought he was making a superbadass movie instead of a silly one, but as a silly pseudo-actioner I like it just fine. Haven't seen the sequel.

I have never seen that movie for some reason but since you just recommended it, I'll give it a watch.  smile

Sidekicks is a bit worrying, the kid is obviously mentally ill. Watch the Nostalgia Critic's review on the That Guy With The Glasses site, he sums it up perfectly.

I have no interest whatsoever in 3D. I have seen a couple of films in 3D but only because it was the only way to see them at the time (cinema didn't offer a 2D alternative). I personally don't see the point in it but others like it, so fair enough smile

Not at all, mate. Scot, Brit, it's all good. I put 'am' in italics after I realised my post originally looked like I was trying to correct you. Which wasn't my intention smile

And Mr. Pointy? I was just checking, always a pleasure to meet another Buffy fan smile

I was actually thinking about the way you spelled "favorite".  You spelled it like a Brit, which you shouldn't be angry about.  So just be proud

Well, I am Scottish, I'm proud of that smile
