I was quite surprised to find I rather enjoyed the first episode of the new series
It's a fun Star Wars read but it's not the Prelude to Force Awakens it's obviously marketed as
Extended Edition - 108 - 'Star Wars Aftermath'
There's no aliasing on your scrolling text!
(you have no idea how high this praise is)
The VFX podcast from FX Guide talked about a similar idea a while back so this might be of interest
I have a Bacon number of 0. Not 1, 0.
And there was me and Owen thinking we were cool with a Bacon number of 3
I watched John Carter last night, whilst not an amazing film it shouldn't have been the biggest flop of recent memory. It was pretty enjoyable and I rather liked how the ending felt like an ending.
I know the plan was to come back and do 12 more but it was nice not to end on godzillas egg hatching or what have you.
I watched Casablanca again last night, absolutely love it.
it is a really good example of character arcs, We meet Rick as a self centered guy who sticks his neck out for nobody and ends up being completely selfless.
The dialogue is also brilliant, so many lines turn up as random nods in other films and TV shows down the years it is endlessly quotable.
also I think we've found where Agent Carter gets her dress sense.
I don't remember which episode it was but I believe it was Brian that pointed out that studios can make a buck by rushing out forgettable summer blockbusters but when it comes to quality someone somewhere is still making money from Casablanca...
Oh man trailers just give everything away these days
looks great
I have only ever seen one person's twitter feed
Get with it Granddad!
So I've been kicking around some ideas
The last few series have left me with the same sense of detachment I had back watching Star Trek: Voyager
I'm starting to kick around ideas for funny filmmaking / film making designs
We had a bit of a chat about this a while back in the last movie you watched thread

It was a bit complicated to figure out quite what was needed but we got some half gram Diazo Sensitizer which you mix up with Diazo Photo Emulsion then coat the screens, by screens I mean A4 sized wooden frames with a mesh in the middle.
Once you've done that you leave them in complete darkness until they are dry, This can take anything from an hour to overnight. The trick we found was to leave some emulsion on waste paper so we'd get an idea if it was dry without opening the drying cabinet. (The drying cabinet was a large cardboard box that a fan we recently bought came in)
The biggest challenge was figure out the exposure, most sites seem to recommend a 150 watt bulb but I was able to borrow a 500 watt halogen work light which did the job, if you have clear skies you can also expose with the sun in about 5 minutes but we were doing this around 6pm.
You then have to wash the screen so the design is transparent, pro’s have high pressure hoses but we were stuck with a sponge, same result but with a bit more effort.
Once we dried the screen off we used masking tape to cover the areas that didn’t include the design to prevent bleed where the emulsion might have been thinner and placed it on the T-shirt and put the ink on and used a squeegee (a long piece of wood) to drag it across the screen.
This is the nerve wrecking moment, if you spread the ink over the design too much you risk moving the screen and ruining the image but we found the first use especially needed a bit extra ink to go through but as soon as you lift the screen to check you’ll probably not be able to get it back exactly how it was.
Oh aye, It is all the same stuff that is used at professional T-shirt studios.
That's a nice looking site you've got there, As someone who has spent more time then I care to admit trying out different wordpress templates I know that is no easy feat.
So in the attitude of "FUCK YEAH! MAKE STUFF!" me and Lady Faldor decided to have a go at screen printing some T-shirts and fabric.
I decided to use a panel from the comic SAGA (which is excellent by the way) which I transferred to some transparent acetate to make the screen with.
After which we applied photo emulsion to the mesh and left it to dry, luckily the studio is crazy hot at the moment.
When it was dry we were able to expose the screens using a totally professional 500 halogen work light for twelve and a half seconds.
Once the emulsion was scrubbed off the screens it was finally time to print!
It took a couple of go's to get it just right but I'm rather happy with the results
I finally got to a break in Audio books to listen to your ROTS commentary. What is with your group of young republicans shouting down the slightest hint of politics?
Thank you everyone!
We've put together a little blog post on the Han Solo announcement.
This week Jurassic World : http://www.extendededition.net/916/
Teague, that's a nice song and all but couldn't you post an air conditioner instead?
