Topic: New French president - is this a concern for US VFX artists?

So France has a new top dog, Francois Hollande.

From what I understand he's looking to rework France's budget to increase socialist spend, and move away from the austerity focus that's been de rigueur la mode since Greece exploded. Assuming this weighs on the outlook for the entire Eurozone,  the flow on effect could be more countries relax their austerity measures, most significantly Greece.

If this happens and there are defaults, will we see VFX jobs flow more quickly from US industry into Europe? The Greenback is already stronger on the news, the Euro may have a way to fall. I assume your interpretation of this possibility depends on which side of the pond you sit.

Didn't the Brits pass a law requiring all motorist to keep onions in their boot?  Bet their fining a lot of Frenchists showing up in Dover without any.

Representing the French in this community, I will say that... yeah I have no idea.

I'm just glad Sarkozy got kicked out. Let's all have foie gras and a Pinot Noir.
