My anxiety has been kicking my ass about how my anxiety is preventing me from playing with the rest of you lot, and the stuff I'm working on right now isn't super conducive to sharing Fuck yeah, make stuff things... so my brain is just kinda in a permanent fomo -> anxienty -> guilt -> fomo -> etc loop as of late.

So IDK, here's an eyeball I've been working on for Innervate. er somethin.

That eyeball is cool as hell.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and call this a "speed build", start to finish of actually working on it about 4 days interspersed with a million other things.

Small growing flower element for Innervate, and certainly one of the more interesting rigs I've built, the entire thing is controlled by one slider.

Thanks duuude It's an absolute clusterfk of shape keys, armatures and curve modifiers, but it actually works and looks pretty much like what I was hoping for, so that's an A+ win in my book.

Finally managed to find a way to make this one work by making a boatload of shapekeys based on inverting the flower and throwing some softbody physics on it, so gravity pulls it down into the folded up form, and then reversing everything so it "blooms".

Feels a hell of a lot longer than 2 weeks since I posted the growing flower wow, but digging back into Innervate with one of the shots that growing flower is for:

Thanks dude, it's gotten a lot easier/smoother/better since I decided to steer into the skid and embrace the glow-y painterly look, there was a long while there where I just really hated the look of some of the stuff I was putting out, but over the past 6 months or so I've really found the groove and started bringing everything to a place I really like.

And I've been avoiding making claims like that cause the universe has invariably come along and gone "HAH, fuck you" and thrown a meteor at me that pushes it back another 6 months, but considering it's 2020 and like, that's basically been this entire year.... if I can actually work on it consistently, about another month/month and a half on visuals, and then a couple months for sound design depending how quickly I pick up on Reaper's shenanigans.

Another little speed build I've been working on the past few days in between everything, really liked how it turned out.
