My wallet is ready if they do a making-of video you get to work on.

I'll be doing about 4 videos for them over the course of the campaign.

Dropping references to David Lynch, La Jetee, and Last Year at Marienbad? I'm so there.

Hmm. If there's a Mac version, I'm interested. I will admit, from the theater name Equinox I was expecting to see something Crowley related in the game description. The time period would be right for that kind of influence smile

(if the game turns into a bloody first person shooter, we'll know which creators were responsible for that part of Bioshock Infinite smile)

I've seen a ton of gameplay footage.  No weapons or combat of any kind.

I'm a massive Bioshock fan and this definitely looks interesting. I've heard Ken Levine (the main creative guy behind Bioshock) mention Joe Fielder enough in interviews to know he's worth keeping an eye on, so I'll probably end up backing. I'll give it a couple of days before I decide on what backer level I want though.

Kickstarter for video games is, to me at least, interesting. I mean, on the one hand you're helping these games get funding they may need to finish the thing, often for just the cost of the game itself. On the other hand, the idea that pre-ordering games is a horrible thing is catching on, and what's a kickstarter but a very long range pre-order? You never know what you're going to get in the end, and even with games that end up being good rarely do they match what was promised. I may very well back this, but with the expectation there in fact may not be a game at the end.

This isn't looking like it's going to make it, and that makes me sad. sad

Half a million is a lot to ask for. Taking a look at video game Kickstarters that actually drew that many pledges, only three are from this year. I think now that people are able to see the games that are coming out as a result of these things, they're backing away. This isn't going to be the funding source many hoped it would be.

(the timing may also have been bad, with so many expensive games coming out now for potential supporters to buy)
