Re: Suggest a movie!
I assume it's the Brendan Fraser one, they've talked about doing that one before.

Re: Suggest a movie!
The Mummy is another case, like with King Kong, where it would be interesting to look at all three versions (1932, 1959 Hammer, 1999)

Re: Suggest a movie!
If we're given suggestions based on that list for themed months, how about an 80s one?
Real Genius (which I've never seen)
Ferris Bueller's Day Off
Who Framed Roger Rabbit
Big Trouble in Little China
I left out Top Gun.....because it's Top Gun. Bill and Ted, Batman, Beetlejuice, Flight of the Navigator or even Wrath of Khan could fit in there too. I'd leave Lethal Weapon for DiF-cember.......
How about a month of Box Office failures?
Kiss Kiss Bang Bang
The Rocketeer
Last Action Hero
The Shawshank Redemption (if you ever get round to that again)
If not Shawshank, how about Death to Smoochy?

Re: Suggest a movie!
If not Lord of the Rings, then Heat (best crime movie) and Dark Knight (best superhero movie)
not long to go now...

Re: Suggest a movie!
Howzabout Godzilla - which iiuc is roundly(?) dispised by 99% of the population (so would no doubt be the source of a numerous bunch of hilarious jibes and quipes from the team) but is a movie I love for all its bigness - monsterwise, explosionwise and "men with big guns trying to blow up the beastie, missing and destroying skyscrapper"wise.

Re: Suggest a movie!
^yup, that's the one - I'm all for the deep and meaningfull movie, one that makes you think long after it has ended and possibly changes how you view the world, but sometimes I just want to see big things blow up (most times actually
).

Re: Suggest a movie!
The fun part is the Japanese public loved that Godzilla as well, as it was everything the Japanese films of the past 20 years weren't and had a better budget. This is exactly why fans hated it naturally

Re: Suggest a movie!
Absolutely love the books. I've always been surprised that they skipped The Vampire Lestat, the middle book (I know there are more than 3 in the chronicles but after Queen it gets stupid), since I liked that one.
What insight Maggot1300? Spill those beans!

Re: Suggest a movie!
nothing major, i was an extra for the concert scene (lots of leather and spikes which i still have) it was a damn cold shoot though as it was winter in a quarry out at werribee to the west of melbourne.
The food was good though

Re: Suggest a movie!
It won't be this weekend but I'll second it for next weekend.
I'll just second every suggestion, if I like the film or not
