As they are coming up this week, thought I would throw out a call to fellow LA folks to see who was planning on attending this year.
Barring any excessive OT, I plan on being there. Look forward to seeing what they chose this year to highlight.
Which day is it? I'm usually available.
Yo tambien, depending on schedule.
To my knowledge, it's Thursday evening. But that's of the top of my head.
How does one get in? I've listened to the two podcasts so far about it and do I understand it correctly that you just have to get in line? I've never been and am very interested in showing up but I have a video to shoot Thursday morning until around 2:00. I'm curious to know if arriving in LA around 4ish would even land me a spot or would it be too late already.
4 should be fine. I think last year I got there around 6 and was very near the front of the line.
But yes, it's open to anyone who hops in the standby line, which is what fills up the seats that are left after the Academy members get the good seats.
Pretty much just get in line.
Sweet. I might actually be able to pull this off, depending on how late my shoot goes. Where is it?
Ooh, so I guess you guys won't be doing a bake-off podcast this year because of the Potter commentaries.
Although there's probably not much of an argument as to which film's gonna win.
I'd love to here a post-bake-off report intermission again this year though.
I'm planning to attend as usual... anybody know the actual start time on Thursday?
I'll probably head over as well.
I just saw on Twitter that the deadline for nomination ballots is tonight. So how can the bake-off be tomorrow?
Shrug, where?
Oh and yeah I'll try to make it.
My wife and I actually got someone to pick up our kids from school tomorrow and they are staying the night at my moms house so we can come down to LA for this. So if anyone knows the actual start time and location, I'd appreciate a heads up :-)
It will be an adventure whatever happens.
Thank you muchly :-D
I look forward to meeting everyone for the first time.
So, how badly did Gravity trounce the others?
