I, conversely, know the song absurdly well and can tell that Teague cut out some time in between verses, the instruments go for a bit longer than that 
Absolutely looking forward to doing this. Friday is probably the next day I can reasonably record something but I'm psyched.
I don't do much in the way of instruments - nothing at all really - but if I'm feeling ambitious I may record an a capella track or two as well for the backing music.

I was actually planning on recording the end credits in 1080p and having them play on the TV behind me as I listen through headphones... so I'm singing synced up to that. I can provide that recording for someone to edit if they wish.
(Of course it may exist online by now... back when it came out the best I could find was a standard def version.)

I'm pretty sure if you sing along to the original version of the song, and not the above MP3 of me being an idiot, your takes won't be usable because they won't sync up.
Having the credits going on in the background as a visual sounds cool, though.

Aside from the bars cut out between verses, actually, I think the sync will be pretty spot-on. I'll do a light edit to that video so it still syncs up behind me

Some sites notes it at 118bpm, but 120 seems pretty spot on, yeah.
Was gonna do some recording today, but it'll be hard when the kid's not in kindergarden.

Did the recording. Audio/Video separately recorded, matched, merged. You'll have a video with pretty good audio quality baked in. Let me know if you want a flatter audio.
