I have the extended lotr dvds if it's still an issue.
not an issue no more, have eBayed the DVD extended versions and am stocking up on caffiene drinks and microwavable chicken so I can make it thru the marathon. 
I'm all for the change, but if this becomes a weekly 30min thing, you're all dead. DEAD I SAY!
Just a thought, but couldn't you have a big "March 10th" button / clickable banner on your main front page so that any new people who come here (possibly via their mobile phones) thru seeing your web address downinfront.net posted elsewhere, well those people will very qucikly be able to find out what so special about said date. ?
btw: is your site mobile phone access friendly ?

Smartphones, sure. You can't scroll through the archive by swiping, though. You'll need to use the little draggy thing.
