The guy who does "... The Works" compilation videos for directors made a trailer for the original Alien in the style of the Prometheus trailer, and it kicks ass

Yeah, this is pretty straightforward, actually. I was hoping to see in the click-through that there was some cool automatic software for it, but it looks like he just did a thingy. Good result, though.
The technique doesn’t have to be used only with timelapse footage, or so I believe.
