RIP Harold Ramis.
Do, Ray, Egon
So sad.
Outside the New York City firehouse that provided the exterior shots for the headquarters in Ghostbusters...
I wouldn't be who I am without GHOSTBUSTERS, and GHOSTBUSTERS wouldn't be what it is without Harold Ramis. I'm way more upset about this than I would have expected to be.
That Twinkie bit, the Do-Ray-Egon thing-- I can't calculate how many times I must have repeated that shit from 1985-89. It's in the thousands. Ramis and Ghostbusters was a major part of my pathetic, yet-to-have-gotten-laid life.
Sixty-nine is damn young. He was funny right up until the end, too. Acting in films with Seth Rogen and shit.
We focus so much on Ghostbusters, but for me, Groundhog Day is the real unsung masterpiece of his career. It's like a beacon of the type of accessible, brilliant comedy that does not get made anymore. We're mostly stuck now with either super-dumbed down awful slapstick movies for the whole family, or R-rated comedies that rely on being as raunchy as possible for laughs.
His influence is deeply missed.
Guys He was working on a script it could still work they could say he died working on a experiment
Kinda missing the point, Jimbo.
It's not just Ghostbusters, it's ... All of it. They just don't make people like him anymore.
Stripes was always my favorite.
Recruiter: Are either of you... homosexual?
Ramis: No we're not homosexual, but we are willing to learn.
Bill Murray: Yeah, would they send us someplace special?
Stripes is a good one too.
And I was sad to hear about Ramis today.
Had to pull out my Ghostbusters DVD to watch it last night. Have to appreciate being able to enjoy the works of your heroes even after they're gone.
I'm glad they at least made the video game a couple of years ago. I was very satisfied with it as a third installment in the series.
it's not dead yet http://www.comicbookmovie.com/fansites/ … s/?a=95151
Not. The. Time. Jimbo.
Jimbo: this thread is not actually about GHOSTBUSTERS 3. That was just a snappy title. It's about the loss of Harold Ramis.
