Your mom?
The smell?
Trolly punks who don't listen to the episode and then post snarkyness?
It's the way I dress, isn't it?
Hey fuck you buddy!
If the fan knows less than you about some franchise, then they're not really a fan, have no taste, behind the times, not cool, just a civilian, noob, ignorant, etc.
If the fan knows more than you, then that fan lives in his mother's basement, can't pull a chick, trolls forums, has no life, etc.
When I was a kid, someone claimed they liked Star Wars more than me because they had more of the toys...twat.
If this was a tech forum, then instead of Star Wars vs Star Trek, it'd be Apple vs Android, or PC vs Linux.
Atheist forums (while they all don't believe in God) range from ultra-libertarians to socialists.
In Australia, we have Ford v Holden (General Motors) fan wars. Imagine getting worked up about cars.
I've always liked sci-fi/fantasy fans because they're interested in stuff, rather than just talking sports around the BBQ while suck'n on a Bud.
The following is a letter I found burried deep within the archives of... "THE INTERNET"
Dear Michael "Dorkman" Scott,
Recently, on your "podcast", you made reference to a damaged car bumper. You suggested that the bumper in question, was repaired by using a piece of styrofoam to fill in the empty space. Well I am here to inform you that you sir, are W-R-O-N-G. First, the E.P.A. has outlawed the use and manufacture of STYROfoam for decades. I highly doubt automakers would risk hefty fines, from the government, in order use a sturdier foam product. That is right Michael, car bumpers (these days) are MADE from foam wrapped in a fiberglass shell. I mean come on, everybody knows that.
Truely,
name withheld to protect from the wrath of Dorkman
So thats what I found. Pretty eerie huh? I imagine this high pitched nasely drone, snarking it up all day long, on who ever this is.
Weird, what are the odds.
hmm... interesting topic. could we have a discussion or history lesson on why the film industry moved out to California in the first place. I know why they eventually moved on down to Southern California, but why did they go out there in the first place?

To get as far away from Edison as possible.
So, what they are trying to say is that fans are crazy? Because, I think we already knew that
In all seriousness, sometimes I worried that I am one of those crazy guys who knows too much about the DiF crew and would be like, "Hey" and they would be "Who are you? Should I call the police?"
The internet has accelerated our ability to meet people without aiding the means to really connect with people. Hopefully, I am wrong and the DiF guys would be cool with it, but the idea just occurred to me that even here on these forums, I usually know more about the panelists than they know about me

Well, that and the weather. Southern Cali gets about twice the sunlight New York gets, and that was important for early film shooting.
hmm... somehow I thought it couldn't have been THAT simple... I was thinking maybe taxes weren't as stringent or something...
I already knew about the Edison thing. I wonder who actually invented the Motion Picture, since Edison probably really never invented it himself.

I can't speak for the others, but for my part, I started saying "friends in your head" for a reason. You guys are friends in mine, too.
Far as I'm concerned, the DIF world is a works-both-ways kinship, so if you happen to bump into me in a highway gas station bathroom, we'll totally make out, or whatever protocol dictates in that kind of situation.

SoCal also had more location options than the East coast. There's ocean, mountains and desert all within a couple hundred miles of Los Angeles.
For that matter, a hundred years ago Los Angeles itself was mostly orange groves so there were lots of wide-open spaces to shoot, and lots of cheap land to build studios on.
Now see THAT makes a lot more sense when you put all that together. Thanks for the additional information Trey!

We'll work out the details when we get there.
Until then, I shall be your voice in your head.
Like in movies, were the they read letters and hear the voice of the person writing it. You will hear my voice when you read menus
But FOX aired the episodes out of order!

Oh yeah, we should totally get Firefly back on the air... and also The A-Team while we're at it

Firefly? Come on, let's get real
I mean, where's my live action Star Wars TV series? Where is it!?

Well duh, it's coming after George makes all 9 films. Just like he originally planned from the beginning.
I'm sure the scripts for all five seasons are done, just like those final six Star Wars scripts were just sitting on a shelf
