I was too busy hanging with the kids to take any photos. Cool stuff though, that's all that volcano's doing, right?

This is the insanity that is Icelandic new year fireworks. It's so extreme that tourists travel here just to watch this craziness (and the northern lights).
Few year ago Kiefer Sutherlandwas here over the new years.
"I saw probably the most extraordinary firework display in my life. There's no laws in Iceland with regard to fireworks, which makes New Year's Eve very interesting. It's a small population but they spend over $15 million for fireworks for that night.
It's like a warzone. There's no organisation to it... I saw a six-year-old carrying a 30-pound mortar with another six-year-old following behind with a match.

Aah Alberta. Sometimes she can be a frigid, heartless bitch. But sometimes she can take my breath away.
(Not really my house. But this was what my drive home from work today looked like today. This seemed like the best place to put it.)
My current view-
It snows in Scotland?
Huh. Of course it does - I just never imagine Scotland getting snowy.
Come to think of it, I pretty much just imagine Scotland being a little too cold and kinda wet all the time. 
It has been lovely here the past couple of weeks but then today- BAM! Snow
I hate snow, especially days like today. I meant lovely as in sun shining and quite warm for end of Feb/start of March.
