We'll be recording on Tuesday at 9pm GMT aka 1pm in Los Angeles or 4pm in New York.
We shall discuss the TNG movie series in a follow up episode to our Classic Trek episode
there are two spots open for this one
If there's a spot still open and you don't mind my crappy mic (the newer one I bought off ebay never came), I'd love to talk Trek again.
Balls, I knew I forgot something !
Extended Edition - 013 Star Trek TNG Movies
Heres our Star Trek follow up!
Oh dear
(the first 2 minutes are awesome- listen to 'em. The rest? Yeah, listen to them to, I guess)

Something different this week. We recorded a commentary for the first Christopher Eccleston episode from 2005!
Extended Edition - 014 Doctor Who Commentary #1 "Rose" !
Edit: Tom had a major hard drive failure and nearly lost the episode. unfortunately there does seem to be a minor sync issue.

Me and Jimmy talk about Simon Pegg, Nick Frost and Edgar Wrights Cornetto trilogy
Extended Edition - 016 - The Cornetto Trilogy
Well, mostly Jimmy.
Spoilers abound.
Oh and since we talk about the Cornetto Trilogy, I thought I'd post one of the best gifs in the world-
Extended Edition - 018 - Sitcoms!
Listening now. Patiently awaiting mention of Archer or Bob's Burgers, aka the best comedies on TV right now. Will report back later with my findings.
Agh. I was writing a whole post but my browser refreshed and it got deleted, so here's the tl;dr.
US Office is funnier and all-around better than UK Office ever was. Parks and Rec is better than both of them.
Late-period Futurama is in a lot of ways better that the original Fox run, and episodes like "The Late Philip J. Fry" and "Lethal Inspection" carry a lot more emotional heft than "Jurassic Bark" or the one with Fry's lucky clover.
Archer and Bob's Burgers are brilliant. Bob's Burgers especially in how it captures its central family. Each character is so unique, and yet you can totally see how they developed in the world of the show. You can see which aspects of the kids' personalities they took from their parents. And it's just a sweet show that never resorts to cheesy messages or morals to wrap stories around. Also, the musical numbers. "Electric Love" from season 3 is just indescribably good.

I have watched neither.

I didn't see the latest (last) season but going by the 'movies' that were released (and broadcast in parts) the original series was miles better.

I have been meaning to check out Archer, I will soon based on your recommendation.

The new seasons have some really really great episodes, and some meh ones, but when it's firing on all cylinders it's really great.
And yeah, I've watched the first half season of Archer and it's really great, definitely not your mom's cartoon.

I guess I never got the British humor gene. Except in literature. I think that dry sensibility really works on the page. On TV it flops for me.

Oh, I'm pretty sure my mum's cartoon was Fritz The Cat. The 70s, ladies and gentlemen!
But seriously, the final segment of "Reincarnation" might be the funniest thing that Futurama ever did.
