Harrison Ford in Raiders? Tim Allen in Galaxy Quest?
Christopher Lloyd as Doc Brown.
BAM.
Sir Broderick as Ferris Bueller
Matthew McConaughey as Wooderson in Dazed and Confused.
Christopher Lloyd as Doc Brown.
DAMN IT
Bruce Willis as John McClane
Kristine DeBell as Alice in Wonderland.
The whole cast of The Terminator. Talk about getting lucky.
Johnny Depp - Captain Jack Sparrow
Kinda surprised no one has brought up Jeff Bridges as The Dude.
Mickey Rourke are Randy "The Ram" Robinson.
Humphrey Bogart as Rick Blaine
Humphrey Bogart as Rick Blaine
Casablanca being one of my favorite movies, I must agree with Mr. Faldor
Humphrey Bogart as Rick.
I must say another one because at least in my mind Robert Downey Jr. is Tony Stark.
Mark Hamill as the Joker.
Anthony Hopkins as Hannibal Lecter.
And yeah, Robert Downey Jr doesn't even have to try to be Tony Stark. He already was Tony, right down to the substance / alcohol abuse. It's like he was preparing for the role.
(Sorry, apparently it's physically impossible for me to do just one.)
Leonard Nimoy throughout Star Trek.
Holly Hunter in The Incredibles.
Douglas Rain in 2001: a Space Odyssey.
Simon Pegg in Hot Fuzz.
Haley Joel Osment in The Sixth Sense.
Jeff Goldblum and Geena Davis in The Fly.
Sean Connery in any James Bond movie before Diamonds are Forever.
And, of course, Bruce Willis in Surrogates.
Simon Pegg in Hot Fuzz.
Not sure I agree. I think his character in Shaun of the Dead was a great match for him. Nick Frost's character in Hot Fuzz? Another perfect match.
Doc is right. Peggs best acting is a guy who is little insecure and "lost". Like he does in Shaun of the Dead and in Paul. Hot Fuzz is excellent movie but I think because the satire is so spot on. My favorite of the three but Pegg is acting fine because he is good actor. I just think more natural role to him is Shaun or Graeme. Actually he is good in new Star Trek too.
One of the things I adore about Hot Fuzz is the way Simon Pegg isn't the specimen of physical perfection that you'd expect from a US supercop movie, like Will Smith in Bad Boys or Bruce Willis in Die Hard. But Pegg absolutely sells the character from that first march toward the camera in the opening.
