Oh Shit, I Totally Forgot That Happens! by George RR Martin
Some part of me truly believes that spoilers on this intiricate and grandiose a level must be a hatecrime of some sort.
He says after posting said spoilers
Anyone wanna place bets on how long it'll take until Maisie Williams' vine post becomes an autotuned dubstep track on YouTube?
I watched all of season one. And it sucked balls.

"Game of Thrones" LITERALLY MEANS "political strife".
Just because it's called that doesn't mean that it doesn't contain so much more. The major events of the series are motivated by desire for power, but the show has so much more going on, which is why it's such a great show.

He says after posting a video that contains a total of 15 words of spoilerific goodness in a thread dedicated to discussing that very topic, and after numerous, if not plentiful, amounts of unspoiler-tagged posts discussing said events.
Whereas that Onion post is on a very public site that a lot of people browse, and without even nary a note that this post might contain spoilers, goes into in depth and graphic detail explaining every minutia of the last 10 minutes of that episode.
Give me a fucking break.

Nope. Not really. Political strife is indeed all there is to the show. Hardly a single character has any motivation other than power, lust, and lust for power. It's like The Phantom Menace on TV, except there's 20 Palpatines and like 3 Anakins and a slave girl's tits now and then.

With all due respect, and as someone who's watched more than the first season, you're wrong about the show.
Maisie Williams is not all there in the head
Are you implying I'm touched in the head because I kinda dig her?!

Yes, that is exactly what I was implying *roll eyes*
Spoilers for ep9.
Why Maisie Williams will always have my eternal devotion.
Maisie Williams is not all there in the head

Nah, they just taught me not to read other people's posts before posting stuff
What about those of us who didn't read the books, shit thier pants at the RW, and immediately went "HOLYSHITTHISISAWESOMEMOOOOARRRRR!!!"?!
I feel like we're an important demographic being ignored here.
Seeing the reaction to this, I REALLY can't wait for the Purple Wedding, presumably early next season. Hell, they might even push it to next week's finale, just to make fans feel better.
Yep.
I think the most likely OMG they'll use as their season-ender will be to introduce Lady Stoneheart - which would make a nice followup to last week, and pay off all the "Brotherhood Without Banners" info they've planted through this season.
Was thinking the same thing, Trey. And it would be a heck of a cliffhanger. The only issue is the time compression that would have to happen.
EDIT: WARNING TV PEOPLE, NEXT PAGE OF SPOILERS, STARTING WITH THIS POST, has FUTURE SEASON SPOILERS, JUST SKIP A PAGE AHEAD (bottom of next page).

Coldhands would be a good WTF game-changer, and it's exactly time for him to show up, so I suspect you're right about that one.
