Trailer-
Sting's re-doing of the Police song (which he wrote) as the theme tune-
Oh yes, oh yes oh yes!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you! Thank you!!!!
It was sorta brought up in the show, but the real name of the main character in the Halo games is also John Spartan, which I find amusing. Given how much that series cribs from the last 2 decades of movies, I would not be surprised if this was 100% intentional.
I'm kinda between Trey and everyone else with Demolition Man. Its fun, there's lots of good stuff throughout, but it does kinda fizzle out, and for a big action movie, its pretty light on memorable action set-pieces. I agree with Trey that the end feels kinda half-baked and anti-climactic.
Teague, you should really watch Blade 2 (and Blade 1, but if you only watch one make it this one),
Wesley Snipes is awesome.
Nigel Hawthorne, the boss baddie in this, is famous in the UK for being on a BBC TV classic comedy called Yes Minister (& Yes Prime Minister), one of the funniest black comedies ever made about politics. He steals every scene.
Indeed, Sir Humphrey Appleby was a great character
Full episodes are up on Youtube.
That was great. Will have to watch more but I love how they couldn't quite keep it together towards the end
Also, Teague should watch Blade, all three of them, just because
The third Blade film is awful, though.
But, but...Ryan Renolds
In other odd news, Denis Leary was in a movie directed by M. Night Shyamalan called "Wide Awake"

Yeah, the scene where Reynolds screams insults at Vampire Parker Posey is definitely a highlight.
Also, Jessica Biel. Mmmmm.
Blade 3 was written (and directed) by David Goyer who wrote all the Blade movies, also Dark City, Batman Begins and several other pretty darn good things. FWIW, his script for Blade 2 was, at the time, the best-written script I ever read.
Mellow greetings.
Bob Ringwood (the costume designer) is another connection to Star Trek: Nemesis. His list of genre credits is rather impressive (he designed the 1989 Batsuit, among other things).
Demolition Man would make a great double feature with RoboCop (both movies satirize their respective eras).
Have a peachy day (and learn how to use the three seashells).

His script? Did they change it from what was shot? I found the script but now need to watch the movie again.
The scene in the blood bank is still one of the more chilling and well done scenes IMHO.
Anyway, back to Demolition Man. I wish Denis Leary had done more acting. I enjoyed him as a voice actor as well as in "Operation Dumbo Drop" where he is a little more of the sly, manipulative business man than the libertarian "I'll eat what I want #$! $#@@@$!"

I love him but he can still star in shit. Plus, he has no actual character, all he does is quip. Every one of his lines is a one-liner with 'fuck' in the middle of it, it gets boring. Even Snipes knew the film was bad, he's hardly in it and even when he is in it, it's actually his stand in/stunt double. The film is not good.
Although the phrase 'cock juggling thundercunt' will go down as one one of the best movie insults ever.

Just as I notice I typed 'one' twice
I nearly erupted with nerdy rage regarding the abilities of George Cosmatos, though a quick romp through his Wikipedia article seems to support this odd claim of Ghost Direction. I actually picked up the super edition of Tombstone because it featured his commentary track, and while he did talk at great length about the costumes and mustaches being "Authentic", I wonder exactly how much "Ghost Direction" he really did for that movie...

Yeah, I don't get that, sorry. I feel ashamed

Double THE (not to be mistaken for a double D).
(That's a real screenshot from a real movie.)

Just read each word individually and closely. It's a really common trick of the mind.
Holly shit, I didn't even see that! Need my eyes tested, lol.

You're not alone obviously, since that title made it all the way to the final print of a movie.
Ha, of course
I need to get hold of some MST3K to watch. Somehow.

You can watch pretty much any episode imaginable on YouTube.
Nice, I shall do just that. Only watched it once, seems like something I should rectify.
Oh, and I like Demolition Man (and we're back on track! )
