Re: Suggest a movie!
Now that's a nice combo - two great King/Darrabont collaborations (and the two Stephen King stories that have the best endings).

Green Mile fun fact...
I used to be friends with Doug Hutchison who played Percy.....
.....and also just married a chick 35 years his junior.
Book of Eli - a movie I've seen 4-5 times. And it wasn't until after No3 that I imdb'ed their discussion forum and got my "what, really?!, surely you jest, it can't be, (goes off to rewatch), omg!!" enlightenment - (spoiler not given just in case)

Wait, how could be friends with Tooms? Was it one of those keep your enemies close things?
Doug was dating my friend Erika at the time. This was around 2000 or so. She's an actress as well, so when they'd hang out with us, I was one of her few non actor friends, and therefore one of the few to be NOT blatantly star fucking him. While everyone else was bugging him about acting tips or breaking in, I would just shoot the shit with him, and he genuinely loved documentaries, so we had plenty to talk about. He was a good dude....I'm truly perplexed by this marriage business. Also, I have a really hard time believing she's 16.
I think you guys should do the original Halloween and original Nightmare on Elm Street.
We're definitely gonna do another Scary Month come October, and those are both high on the list of scary classics to dig into.
Also, welcome to the forum goodly sir.
How bout a stallone combo with Rocky/First blood (and do sequels later) also u guys should do the Jurassic Park and Jaws sequels.
Since they came out on blu-ray this week....LOTR EE trilogy eventually?

The plan, assuming they stick to their guns, is for them to do an all day tag team commentary for all three LOTR movies (probably the extended versions). Needless to say some of us are waiting for a day to be named so we can clear our calendar.
Wow, y'all aint about to let that go, huh?
Well, after what happened with Shawshank, I doubt that we'll be getting that anytime soon.
Every time we ask for LotR they probably move the commentary back a year.
(totally not bitter about that rule at all) :/
And when they actually do LotR they need to do a very simple and easy movie right after
(maybe a Sci Fi comedy perhaps? not askin, just sayin).
I doubt they could do all 3 extended/epic editions in one day.
As soon as they say it's off the table, I have no problem letting it go. Till then we keep bugging you
MadBad, I doubt it too, but with enough people and a couple bottles of wine, I'm sure we could pull it off.
I'm sure that by hour 6 of 9 the commentary is going to devolve into grunts and crying.
That'll be me. I think it'll mostly be the booze.
Can I just say I really don't care about an all day marathon of the LOTR films?
I need to go back through this thread to see what I suggested in the past, I need to post more ideas

If you do Rocky Horror the live audience has to dress up and sing along with the songs.
I think Primer and Clerks would make a fun double feature, as you can compare two different ways to do a low budget first film.
If you're gonna do Hidden Fortress, you might as well do Seven Samurai as well. I mean, it basically invented the modern action movie.
