Topic: Space Cowboys.

I like it. I've read the Bad Astronomy review, I'm not particularly a fan of Clint Eastwood, and the end is ridiculous.

But I like it. You?

I vividly recall not completely hating it.

Warning: I'm probably rewriting this post as you read it.

Re: Space Cowboys.

As a kid, I saw Apollo 13 in movie theaters and all I remember is that someone taps a frozen hot dog against something at some point, and that was awesome.  That's ALL I have in my brain for Apollo 13 the movie.

Also as a kid, I saw Space Cowboys in theaters with my dad and it was FUCKING AWESOME.

I refuse to sully those two memories by watching either movie again and ruining it.

When.

I can't wait for Brian to post here.

Re: Space Cowboys.

I actually like Space Cowboys. The magic bean is the Skylab sized secret Russian nuke platform, give it that and the rest is believable enough, minus Tommy Lee Jones' ultimate fate. I rewatched it not too long ago and the fake zero-g is not great, but otherwise it's fun.

Maybe I'm willing to give it more leeway than most because they actually knew what Skylab was.
