Re: 2010: Moby Dick.

Two-Headed Shark Attack was written by Perry Horton, who runs the Committed blog and also got a fine screenplay for A Haunting in Salem* produced. It's a rags-to-slightly-better-rags story that gladdens my heart.

* Highly recommended if you like hauntings or Salems or Dick Van Dyke grandchildren.

If you've never read Moby Dick (which everybody should) this is the PERFECT way to take the plunge. Each chapter is read by a different person, everyone from Tilda Swinton to Stephen Fry to David Cameron to non-famous people. It makes the story super-accessible and really enjoyable. And since each chapter is pretty brief, it's easy to digest and not nearly as intimidating. A new chapter gets posted every day.

I have a 'Free Willy' VHS which has never been released from its cellophane. My MD2010 disk, on the other hand, is a treasured keepsake that has been 100% watched. Exactly once.

Every day Drew looks at the title on his shelf, and he whispers, "No."

Sadly the video is not authorized for my location, but it looks like the Sydney Morning Herald TV site is doing an Asylum season.  I recognize MegaPiranaha from the commentary and Mega Shark vs Crocosaurus sounds like variations on a theme.  And "Almighty Thor" clearly not starring Chris Hemsworth can only be an Asylum production, yes?

For the next hour, everything in this post is strictly based on the available facts.

Correct on all counts. smile

Re: 2010: Moby Dick.

Fun fact, for at least the US, this is coming off of Netflix on April 12th.

Re: 2010: Moby Dick.

I find it odd what's on the US vs. Canadian Netflix. It's already been on Canadian Netflix for quite a while.
