Oh believe me, I thought about it. SS version if you please:

I could have equally gone with something like an Audi R8, or a Ferrari F-458, or a McLaren MP4-12C. But there's a problem with cars like that, IMHO.
First you need a really safe place to park it, not only overnight, but anywhere you might want to go. If I had to park my Veyron in the driveway, I don't think I could sleep at night. Now imagine having to go get groceries; they'd better fit on the passenger seat. For that matter, you're going to need to hire a guy to follow you around wherever you go to keep an eye on your Veyron while your in the store or at the movies or wherever.
Now granted, if by some financial miracle I could afford a Veyron, I could probably also afford a new house with a garage and a security system. But I'd still want something else to drive around 90% of the time, which I don't have to worry about getting vandalized or stolen if I go to a movie, and I think that rather defeats the point.
I made my choice based on the idea of something I could park in my driveway (or at the mall, or a theater or whatever), that can carry four people and all their shit, has performance and handling fit for track, and makes me sexually aroused just by looking at it. Also, with the money I saved not buying a supercar, I could also have one of each of these:

Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X
And

2005 (don't care for the facelift they got in '06, or the current body style), Subaru Impreza WRX STi, in the proper blue with gold wheels.
I fully admit that one does not buy something like a Veyron with practicality in mind; that defeats the point. To quote a little car show from across the pond (during an episode where the three of them drive through Europe in a Ford GT, a Pagani Zonda, and a Ferrari F-430), "You can't rationalize cars like these; they're not something you buy with your head, you buy them with your heart, because you love them, and who can explain love?"
If I could, I'd have a garage (warehouse) like Jay Leno, with all of these in there, but this thread isn't about what your dream garage would contain. If I had to go with just one, I'd stick with my first choice.

Not my first choice, but you drove it over to my place to show off I'd still drool all over it. If I didn't already have one in the dream garage that is.
I knew someone would pick a Morgan. This one's for you Kyle:
