But, but, you, like, don't understand, man! Kubrick made the hotel geography all messed up to make you feel uncomfortable! Also, there was no 9/11 and the moon is just a giant photograph that Nazis hung in the sky to confuse America into submission.

So for some inexplicable reason i watched this movie... it took about 4 days to get through this...thing.
it's by far the longest 1:30 movie i've ever seen.. i kept checking how much time had passed, and only 5-7 minutes had gone by each time.
it's insane how many things are wrong with it... hell, i'm not even a filmmaker, but my god. first, it's all shoe leather. i imagine it's essentially a 42 minute movie, once you take away the long scenes of people walking and the terrible excess bits on nearly ever scene (i realize you generally film a little extra so you can edit as needed, but i think someone forgot to actually edit those parts out). and that's not even talking about the sound...it just drops out at times.
and then the camera work...wow. there are times where the camera can't even follow a car. the car will drop from view as it's driving by. also, i'm pretty sure the cameraman trips at least twice.
i'm not sure why i watched it, nor why i watched it to completion.. i guess i was hoping for some unique "bad movie" entertainment, or something... but it's..just boring. in a way, it's almost a perfect bad movie. i'm tempted to make the argument that every single scene has at least one thing wrong with it.
like i said, i'm not a filmmaker and have never really tried, so good for him for making a thing...
