What about one of the worst films ever made, Battlefield Earth.
I think the anniversary idea is a great one. I am not a LOTR fan but as I have mentioned many times before, we can't all like the films you guys do the comms for. You have already recorded comms for some of my favourite films, so I'm good (BTTF was a fantastic surprise, it made my Christmas, that and the Marvel Comics PJ's I got ).
My suggestions-
Any Muppet movie
Who Framed Roger Rabbit
Star Trek II: Wrath of Khan
Transformers 3 (just to finish the epic trilogy )
I would also love to hear one for something like Commando or Predator but there isn't really much you can get into with films like that.
Any chance someone with an artistic bent (that's a saying, right ?!) can put together some kinda promotional poster/jpeg for the LOTR extraviganza so I can post in a "suggest a site" thread in another forum ???? :pleeeeeze:
I cast my vote for Battlefield Earth.
I guess I'm ok with this change,... as long as we get a Dorkman movie fix every month or so and a commentary every so often.
Oh hell yeah. We're gonna be doing a lot of that fixing shit. And commentaries, too. Just not every week on the calendar.
Didn't really say it before so I'm going to say it now. I'm okay with the actual commentaries being cut down. You've done so many almost a weekly bases for the past few years it might be a good idea on slowing down on doing them before you get sick of doing them.
You're probably going to come up, whether intentional or not, when you change things up. If you can still do a commentary or two a month I'll be fine with it. Hell, I'll be okay with there only being one commentary a month if that's what you want to do.
Alrighty, the time for suggestions has come and gone. Now go and pick the ones we actually do.
Hahahahaha.
Geeeez. you finally get me hooked on DiF and now you go and change it on me!
Only joking - I like the new path you guys are taking - I have a HUGE backlog of commentaries that will take me 2012 to catch up on anyway. Did my voting for the 6 movies and can't wait to hear the new stuff.
SUGGESTION
Why not have each of the DiF crew pick 3 movies that they would like to do commentary on and when it's their time to pick the group choses from those 3 suggestions?
One could be for a movie Teague wants to do, then Trey's, then Dorkman's, etc.
Quick question - will you be using the BlueRay or DVD extended versions. Maybe there isn't a difference but best to check now before eBaying.
I'll ask Mike, I'm assuming we're using his because I'm assuming he has them.

I love that Teague scheduled this entire thing before he even knew if he had the DVDs available to watch.
I DO. OKAY? SO SHUT UP.
Mike just dropped off his laptop for recording today and he says he has them so I DO HAVE THE DVDS. Jerk.
Anyway. Blu-Rays.
So bluerays, okidoki - does anyone know if they're the same length as the dvd versions cos I don't me me no blueray player.
when we watch these will we watch each movie without interruption or do a pause for disc change just want to know if I should watch on the TV or BluRay?
Will there be one file for each disc, or the whole film in one? And how will you do the unpause points for the second disc?
I'm assuming each movie is going to have it's own pre- and post-discussion as well as it's own pause/unpause point.
What I mean is that, because each film is split onto two discs, how will they do the unpause point for that second disc? It doesn't have studio logos or anything.
re: my "are the DVD versions the same as the BlueRays" question.
IMDB has the following for the first movie:
Runtime: 178 min | 208 min (special extended edition) | 228 min (Special Extended Blu-Ray Edition)
Does this mean the DVDs are ~20mins shorter than the BlueRays and thus (in my no BlueRay house) I'm screwed.

I had never heard that the Extended Blu-rays were even longer than the Extended DVDs. I'm frantically running around the internet trying to confirm. Does someone have a nice solid non-imdb link to this?
