Re: Cool vids...again.
I've never seen anyone fringe it quite like that.

And like we need it, but more proof that Nathan Fillion is the best person ever.
Context for those that need it: Zachary Levi said that he would give a kiss on the cheek to anyone who donated $100 to this charity. This fan walks in and drops $1000. And well...what happened happened.
I watched that live, online, it was awesome. There are better quality video out there ya know, people
(although, this is better as it is short rather than having to go through an entire panel just to see that moment, it does annoy me though that Zac said at the start of every panel 'no filming' and people did anyway)
This is Sir Patrick Stewart carrying the Olympic torch and a wee interview with the great man too-
I'm pretty sure this thing is one of the signs of the impending singularity.

Worth it, if only to watch it do Thriller and the Chicken Dance.

Gah, can't see it unless YouTube. Computers at the office don't have Internet and I only have my iPad on me.
Doh. Is YouTube, but VEVO is inscrutable. Alt: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nFgj3yr0pg0
Oh yes. I did see this. I dig it. I've been watching some of her live performances from her recent sets and I'm likening the new album stuff thus far. VERY different then Two Suns ut that's ok. More loungy, more indoor than outdoor, if that makes sense.
^if only she'd given the crowd a smile when entering the stadium, that woulda been the icing on this awesome cake. But no, we get, basically something akin to a which felt like her giving the cake a big stomping-on.

Gaddammit BBC.

I don't agree. She never smiles anyway in these situations, so if she had, she would have been out of character as herself.
If you watch the set-up to her reveal, it's shot specifically to make you wonder who they've got to play the queen, because (as far as I know) she has never done anything like this before. That she went along with the whole thing (including preserving continuity of costume -- the scenes at the palace were shot in March, and they had to make all the trees look summery in post) is good enough for me.
Yes it would have been out of character, but with (I don't know the actual number so I'll make it up) somewhere near 100 billion people watching worldwide, and with this being such an important occasion for Britain, surely she could have dropped the veil just this once. It's not as if I wanted her to stagger in, still all harnessed up, dragging the parachute behind her, but a smile to acknowledge the fun of her Bond aided entrance, well that would have been

That's not how the queen rolls

Yup, she has never done something like that before. The fact that she did it proves she has a sense of humour. She very rarely smiles in public (unless she is meeting people), she doesn't want to show that she has any favourites at events like the Royal Variety and whatnot.

Ok, not sure if this fits in here or not, but ... WOW this needed to be shared.
This is a reviewer who primarily looks at really bad/low budget martial arts movies, but occasionally does just ... random stuff.
This is ... I don't know it's up on IMDB, it's released on video, it's a ... product of some kind but ... wow. There is a level of indie film that is below normal but are insanely fun to watch for one odd reason or another, Birdemic or The Room, this I think I agree with Lupa from the review, is going to definitely be in the running to join those.
Holy shit, I didn't know there was a new Lupa video out already! I have just watched her vid for No Retreat, No Surrender 2 on Phelous' site. I shall watch this new one now
I started watching...and then I- I wanted to stop...but I just...I just couldn't. It's so baaaad.
Is it just me, or does anyone else wanna know the budget for this fucker?
Dude, I had to stop watching it too! It's awful, no matter how hard Lupa tries, you just can't review that.....
Dude, I finished it. Do it. It's fucking awesome. I haven't laughed that hard in FOREVER.
Also... this is the first time I've heard of Lupa. Watching her New Hope Review. Laughing my ass off.
No way in hell! And Lupa is good fun with the right film to review. Same with a lot of the folks at That Guy With The Glasses.
(I don't know why I typed 'too' in my last post, put it down to me being very tired and I should probably go to bed. I was fully aware you had finished it. Again-tired)
