Topic: Premature Passing of a Prominent Puppeteer.
Jerry Nelson, puppeteer & voice of Sesame Street's Count Von Count passed away at his home on Cape Cod at the age of 78. As a child I loved the Count. When I was 5 or 6 an older cousin of mine told me that the count had his own movie. In an attempt to frighten me, my cousin proceeded to show me Dracula (1931). The trick failed, I loved Dracula instantly and quickly watched many of the other universal horror films, so you could say my love of film, especially horror films stems from The Count.
For that I will always be grateful to him and to Mr. Nelson. Rest in peace.
