The trailer for the movie a friend of mine was working on. Also the first feature out of Rainmaker Vancouver. And it looks great and hilarious. I'm psyched.
And I posted this in the chat a couple days ago, but this is the trailer for my first (read: only) actual VFX job (roto/tracking) out of school so far. It actually looks a lot funnier than I thought it would be, which is a positive.

I had absolutely no hopes for Warm Bodies originally. I thought it was just Twilight with Zombies but then I saw the trailer the other day and it seems like a fun humorous movie. I'm in.
CollegeHumor won't embed, so link: Gay Men Will Marry Your Girlfriends
I love the creativity of WOTE's music videos. They've also released the one-shot take before the time scrubbing and ramping:
I was thinking that too, it looks more realistic (as much as it can) when the creature falls on its ass. And that is a great performance from that little girl, she looks petrified considering there is nothing following her. Not even a dude in a scary costume or one holding a monster face on a stick.
I didn't think the first film was great, it sort of ran out of steam about halfway through but the initial attack scene is awesome. You don't expect to see all of it so soon and that was refreshing in a creature feature.
I'm really scared for that little girl (or soon to be ex-girl). Please tell me Superman swoops in!
I've had the first on HD-DVD for years now, still sealed. After seeing this clip I'm even more of a wuss to see them.
Yes please.

I guess The Hollywood Reporter sat down and interviewed Quentin Tarantino, David Russel, Ben Affleck, Ang Lee, Tom Hooper, and Gus Van Sant in a roundtable about directing. I haven't finished watching the whole thing, so I can't REALLY speak to the quality, but it's fairly interesting so far. Too early to tell if it for sure qualifies as cool, but it might.
Fact, electric violinists and cellists are always extraordinarily hot: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U-tUbTU0jIA&t=3m25s
Hahaha, I can't believe they deleted the Nedry joke, that was the best one!
