What are some of the biggest plot holes you have ever scene in movies? No they don't always ruin a film, but some really stand out, you know what I mean!!!

Karate Kid:
If the main rule is “No kicks to the face,” how does Daniel win with a kick…to the face?

Just about any time-travel movie

I think the fake swat team brought them in, and then they used those bags to load the cash for the extraction? Long time since I saw it...
Since all the toys freeze every time a human comes around, it's safe to assume that it's an involuntary reflex. And since Buzz ignores all evidence that he's a toy, he doesn't acknowledge that either.
As I've said before, the fact that the planes in Die Hard 2 don't follow protocol—and common sense—and just land at any of the several other airports in the area is probably the biggest plot hole ever.
Not a huge plot hole here, and if memory serves it's different in the book, but...
In The Fellowship, it seemed like Gandalf just let go at Khazad-Dum. The Balrog's whip wasn't pulling him anymore, he just kinda let go on his own. That part has always felt weird to me.
Oh, and the eagles thing. But that's been discussed and explained far enough.
In The Fellowship, it seemed like Gandalf just let go at Khazad-Dum.
He did. He didn't want them endangering themselves by trying to help him.
An example in both a book and its film adaptation: in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, why did Moody/Crouch have to wait until the very end of the tournament to send Harry to Voldemort using a portkey? Why not do it at the beginning of the year? It can't be a matter of self-preservation, because he clearly cares far more about Voldemort's return than he does his own life.
I assume because Voldemort wasn't prepared to return until that point, for whatever reason.
It's one small Thermal Exhaust Port for Luke, one giant plot hole for Lucas.
I've always felt there was more to Barty Crouch Jr. than we ever found out.
I mean seriously, A) He spends an ENTIRE year pretending to be Moody, and NO ONE figured it out. Dude had to have some serious insider knowledge on Moody no one knew about. B) He spent that entire year actually helping everyone, setting aside the whole actually teaching Harry a lot of stuff that helped him against Voldy, he helped Neville too. Always felt like an interesting quirk.
And as far as why the end of the year. I think it's mostly because Voldy needed that much time to get back enough strength and get everything else figured out. Plus I highly doubt he was just lying around waiting for Harry to get sent to him. I'm sure he was starting to get in touch with his old forces, testing the waters.
That's just me though. I have a much harder time dealing with Barty being Moody for a whole year, than why Voldy decided to not spring on Harry 3 months after he was reborn.
