I LOVE this series of videos.
To get you in the Christmas mood...or something
Not Christmassy in any way, but still important, and I'm really glad to see this being made.

Marty, did you ever see Star Trek Continues?
I've heard of that one a few times, but somehow I kept forgetting to watch it.
Me and Teague did a couple of VFX shots.
Great. Now I have one more reason to check it out.
Short video from the insanity that is New Years Eve here in Iceland
Gleðilegt nýtt ár ~ Happy New Year
I'll be taking 10 of those, please.
And it's only $30. I really think I'll order one, I love the sounds you can create with them.
I still need to learn how to play the proper way first

I kinda wish more behind the scenes stuff had real exchanges like this and not the sanitized BS where everyone gets along and talks about how brilliant the other people involved are. It's a job, and sometimes you're gonna have those days when you don't agree about shit.
I totally agree, films are collaborative projects and you're always going to have conflict whether it be in the writing room, on the set, or in the editing room. And that's no bad thing.
Rinzler's recent book on Return of the Jedi hints at a lot of disagreements during the making of that film, sometimes blowing up and sometimes being directed into good energy. And ESB had a similar background. I find it fascinating that so many great films go through difficult births.
Neat to see what's changed but even neater to see what's stayed the same. Coming from the other side of the Atlantic, I don't know that too many of our cities would be that recognizable eighty-six years ago.

Some of the comments I've seen on this video elsewhere express surprise that so much of London can look the same, because of all the damage it took during the Blitz. Ignoring for a moment that London is pretty big, and the damage was not evenly distributed, they forget that the original movie is basically full of landmarks. While some of those were damaged by bombing, we fixed them because they are landmarks.
OPEN YOUR EYES PEOPLE.
But seriously, if you've ever seen a loony conspiracy video on Youtube, you know that this video nails every detail. Right down to the music.
