Body was made from a section of red oak dowel.

Carved this spiral by hand, came out really nicely imo.

Stem is made by gluing 3 layers of maple together, with a small gap running through the center layer. The last one I made was done by drilling straight through, and it sucked. This is the way to go lol.
The stem fits directly into the body, and forms part of the 'bowl' itself.

The little hole at the top is additional for the smoke in-draw.

smoothed the spiral channels with a grinder thingy, made a nice "burn" contrast.

Stained with red wine, treated with olive oil, and finished with beeswax to seal it. Stem is still detachable for cleaning.
