MonsieurVelo had an idea, and we thought it was cool. So, Holden cooked up a sexy page where we as a community can pretend to be the Academy! Vote by selecting your winner, or don't-vote by leaving that category alone.
We'll leave this open for a few days, I guess.

*shrug* I liked it. I especially liked that they went through the trouble of showing us two robots before Atom who were supposedly very good getting torn to pieces before we met our lil scrapper.

Eh. Nothing that bothered you bothered me. And I don't remember the movie thoroughly enough off the top of my head to rebut every point, so I'll just ask: you have a problem with this being a story involving one very special robot and his friends helping him succeed?
He's special. He saved the kid, he's a cool robot. The kid and him and Hugh Jackman make for a team of misfit winners. *shrug*

So, what we need is a poll page that does all the choices for every category. You can only vote once on any category, and if you don't vote at all for a category, that's also cool.
If that's tricky, the alternative would be an "abstain" option for every category so Trey doesn't have to bone up on foreign animated cartoon sound design.

So last week we added a chat room to the bottom of the board index. I was hoping it would engage folks on a casual level, maybe on days where they didn't have anything to add to a particular thread. I was worried it would actually divert attention away from the threads.
Fortunately, it did the first, didn't do the latter, and has apparently spawned a giant forum-wide project that we need your help for. Watch this.

I did do all the graphics on that segment. I'd like to point out in defense of my soul that that segment was literally the very first of probably 50 we did on the show, which is why some of the graphics look nice and classy and others look kind of like hell. Nobody knew what they wanted yet, and some of the day one graphics are still in there with the week four graphics.
