No clue, I've only played it once, and that was on a local network with friends.

Right, I always wondered why we just fabricated all the oil we need in a laboratory instead of invading other countries and stealing it from them.

Wait...

Shit.

Wait, what? That's no synonym, that's a homophone.  If you don't stick strictly to the rules you're making up as you go along, what chance does anyone have of getting the right answer, other than those who get the right answer?

Can I ask? What the fuck are you on? How in any way is that a homophone?

So I'm throwing out a request for help from those more experienced than I.

I'm trying to create a heat distortion/ engine exhaust effect for my ship, at the moment I'm thinking some sort of particle effect inside maya to get the UV vector pass, plugged into an idistort inside Nuke to create the distortion.

Do you guys have any good tips or techniques you can suggest to create this kind of effect? If I could manage some sort of heat distortion with a touch of smoke, that would be perfect.

Thanks guys!

@Teague: Yeah, everything above the horizon hasn't been touched yet, it's all just temp stuff to pull colors. But I'll definitely keep that in mind as I'm starting the sky right now.

On that note, anyone wouldn't happen to have any cool cloud photos or know of any places to find good free resources for clouds?

Also still need some rocks if anyone has any.

Thanks!

I agree, but DiF taking on all 8 seasons is a little daunting task, don't you think?

Sorry but the Stargate geek in me is screaming in pain and horror right now.

SG-1 had 10 seasons, Atlantis had 5 seasons and Universe had 2.

Yes I did that from memory, what's it to yah!?

Depends on the purpose smile I hoped from your first post it would be more of an actual comic as you can do a lot when you're not limited by what was actually shot, but this technique is rather common.

Well considering there purpose is to retell the movies (basically shot for shot) as though it were a game of RPG...and to make it all work and seem like a logical progression. I think using custom artwork would have been something of a step backwards.

I'm turned off by the use of screen captures instead of artwork

Well that would sorta defeat the entire purpose, but sure, to each his own.
