This show. Holy crap. I have no words.
First thing that popped to mind was "Hannibal". Huh.
Thanks for having me, you crazy peeps. I was exhausted, but I could still understand part of what Jimmy was saying, so that's a good sign!
Shame (2011)
Shame shows the life of a man with an addiction to sex, and how it interacts with his social relationships. The dialogue is scarce, everything is said through the situations; overall, the film lets its audience find the answers by themselves.
The cinematography is gorgeous; Steve McQueen's slow, long shots are carefully crafted to express the character's state of mind. Fassbender's performance is outstanding; the actor goes to great lengths to portray his character fully. It's not an easy movie to watch.
Amazing. I'm a big fan of this kind of cinematography capable of expressing so many things with so little; long takes are a personal favorite when directors use them with meaning, and McQueen sure does. It's an incredibly humane film.
I will definitely check out Hunger and 12 Years a Slave.
I love you so much it hurts me sometimes.

Fire at will if you want, but I thought this scene was a bit more complex than sheer rape. Jaime definitely behaved as a rapist, but Cersei seemed - at least to me - that she was fighting her own desire. So yeah, it was rape. But not only. Maybe I'm saying this because of how the original scene in the book is, but the scene in a show was actually a good reminder to me of how fucked up Jaime, Cersei and their relationship are. Maybe changing the scene from the book was meant to make it even more obvious, but I'm not sure it was needed (especially with all the fuss it's created).
I think you could not have chosen a better place to ask such a thing. Be careful with Teague, it's the kind of things that can get him super excited, I'm guessing.
I'll see if I can record something next week-end. That is an awesome idea, by the way.
I think the time has come to hand this project over to Dave. He got this.
"Out of Context Joffrey"
What a nice lad.
Man, this is going to be intense.
Pumped as fuck. I've been following this since I backed the project on Kickstarter, with ZB sending frequent updates. I loved every second of Garden State, and I don't think Wish I Was Here will disappoint my expectations.

Damn, and I was sure this word existed.
EDIT: wait, it does. Curse you, Andrew!
Well, I'm finally done processing my pictures. Hope you like them!

Experiencing the dawn that never comes to full daylight is a strange thing when you're not used to it. With the weather we had the day we went to Grøtfjord and I took this picture, there was a weird eerie feeling about it.

Northern lights and fireworks, man.
Hansen > I think northern lights are just like any other beautiful phenoma: you need to be in the right place and the right mood for it. I used to see sunsets every day from my previous apartment in Montpellier, but it's just not the same as watching it from the top of a high mountain back in Provence.
Wow. Amazing. I love songs with such build-ups. The strings in the last part give it a very cinematographic feel. It makes me want to see a short movie made from this song.
You rock, sir.
Also Jon Snow. His few minutes on screen show how much he's changed.
I don't know if they spent half of the VFX budget for the dragons in this episode alone, but dayum.
I think they're going to look ridiculously dated because something else, probably just as crappy, will have replaced it.
They didn't?
I love you guys so much.
The colors I see in this still stop me from even watching the trailer.
EDIT: Okay, I watched the thing. Yep, I'll pass.
Thanks guys! I really appreciate it.
Great third episode. The galaxy merging at the end was one of the best visuals yet.
Well, it's finally here: my short timelapse-powered video. This is Lights in Tromsø, a film through which I try to show the indescribable magic of the northern lights, and the memory of an amazing trip.
I owe so much to Moby for making his music available to independent filmmakers. It allowed me to find exactly what I had in mind to accompany these images.
This is a big deal for me. Nature photography is becoming a big part of my life, and this movie is a major step deeper into this world. So share at will, and of course, let me know what you think.
Episode 2 is amazing, really. I learned so much, and I wasn't expecting to. The show manages to go through many different aspects of evolution in a very logical order. I loved it.
