2) ROUNDTABLE: Brian K Vaughn's outstanding script features a resurrected Morganna LeFey returning to terrorize modern day england. An immortal, World of Warcraft playing Merlin must assemble England's modern day Knights to confront her. Except England's modern day Knights are a Botanist, an alcoholic former Olympian, and Michael Caine, playing Michael Caine.
I've googled around but this seems to have truly escaped the internet. If anyone stumbles across a copy please let me know
Does anyone else want to hang out with Eddie and drink beer at this point?
Yes. and I can't stand beer.
I was using a set of battery operated fairy lights wrapped around the lens as a makeshift ring light for a time
Zap between this and VFX podcast are you taking over?
a friend just shared some itunes stats, it looks like you make about 15-20% of a sale
I caught some SG1 and ended up watching the last 2 years quite regularly, I saw the first 3 or so seasons of Atlantis but put it to one side when they ran into the 4th or 5th set of replicators but destroyed their planet in less than 45 minutes.
I gave Universe 10 episodes before deciding it was a bit naff. As for the original film? It's ok but really kinda dull. But it did a very good job of convincing you the characters are on an alien planet.
That makes me want to rush out and shoot a film these could be posters for!
Extended Edition - 018 - Sitcoms!
I really enjoyed Elysium but I don't find myself disagreeing with the problems you mention. For me it was leaps and bounds better than Star Trek Into Darkness though.
Neither Kruger or Spiders actions make any character sense and the fact the film is named after a space station that we only see in the form of garden parties and matte paintings lets it down.
The Goonies is one of those films that always makes me feel young. Not out of any sense of nostalgia or cos it's a kids movie but because I'm too young to see what all the bloody fuss is about!
Does 4Chan do those 'Ask Me Anythings' =P
I finally got around to watching this, I agree with ow Teague summed it up. Really good but missing something.
One thing i felt it needed was seeing what Life was life on Elysium to mirror Damons life.
We see Foster having a house party with a robot serving wine and some random establishing shot but we dont get more than broad strokes about what life if like there.
I also had problems with the character of 'Spider' he seems to be making good money sending ships up to be shot down in front of Elysium and yet when he see's the code Max has in his head he becomes a revolutionary?
It's a really good movie but just falls short of being as good as District 9.
Fireproof gets a like for mentioning Cheif O'brien. That is all.
Me and Jimmy talk about Simon Pegg, Nick Frost and Edgar Wrights Cornetto trilogy
Extended Edition - 016 - The Cornetto Trilogy
Time Crimes is a very clever film
I read Speaker for the Dead and Xenocide and Speaker was a really good bit of sci-fi where as Xenocide... yeah that sure did continue.
Oh wow you actually read Tekwars?
What happens if you sync this commentary up with Dark Side Of The Moon...?!
I just watched 'Maverick' with Mel Gibson from 1994. What a bloody mess of a film it tries to be a drama but keeps slipping into broad comedy for a few beats before trying to be serious again...
I watched 'All The Presidents Men' again last week I really need to have another read of 'Adventures In The Screen Trade'
So you work basically in the Raiders warehouse but for naff movies instead of secret arks?
