Got around to watching Gravity. Loved it. I suppose that 1080p on a 50" isn't giving it the justice it deserves(Cinema, 3D), but still a really good movie.

It's kinda more trouble than it's worth, to be honest. On the one side, you get more coverage, less noise and the ability to shoot RAW video without problems, but also, full-frame lenses are EXPENSIVE MOTHERFUCKERS!

Yup. We didn't cover all of them, but then again, we didn't have  a week to spend doing that either.

If I were around, I'd rock the 5DmkII alongside you smile

Yeah, I noticed we forgot Shadows of the Empire when we were done recording. I'm still angry. I loved the fuck out of that game.

I'm still mad you didn't remind you were coming to Tromsø. Did you at least meet up with Hansen?

Jeez. My sister got an iPhone, and all I got was socks. I was all like "Yay! Socks!". And I wasn't even being sarcastic, I needed those socks!

You need to re-tune your sarcasmometer, Jimothy.

I feel so let out by not even having been asked to join!

...Also I have not watched the show.

Update.

So that took a couple of months. I have, however, reconstructed a new edit that kinda works, and I'm rebranding this thing to be "WHOISH! Part 2", in order to actually fulfil that "To be continued" thing at the end of part one. As such, I'm continuing writing a proper thing, and while it's going slow, at least it's moving on.

However, there are some irks. There's a few shots that I don't feel work as good as they should, and while I can do a bulk of the VFX myself, I'm not really great at matte paintings, or matchmoving 2.5D plates onto relatively bad shots.

If anyone wants to have a go, let me know. You'll get high-res plates and instructions, but sadly no fee. If The Traveller ever kicks off in the future(ie. I finish a story and make a script and shoot it), it'll all be on a budget, and I'll have gigs for you there, but for now, I just want to finish this thing.

I'd love to know if any of those votes are thanks to our facebook post smile

It's a bit of a last minute type thing, but we've one extra seat today, as faldor's gotta sit this one out, so if anyone wants the last spot, let me know. We're recording in about 2 hours from now. (10pm CET)

I've seen films where the script calls for a black person, but the actor is white.

---And of course, there's always Cloud Atlas.

Equal or not, some roles are really only playable by women, and vice versa. Whereas a female director could do as good a job as a male, some actresses could easily portray a better woman than most men.

right on. You're in. That leaves a spot.

We have two(2) open spots for the next episode. We'll be discussing STAR WARS GAMES throughout the ages, and we'll be going for about 120 minutes. Maybe more, maybe less.

Episode recording is set to Tuesday January 7th at around 9pm CET.

Anybody wanna join in?

(prerequisites are decent mics, a Google+ account and a quiet room. And opinions, obviously)

Yeah, that's just downright amazing. If you could add a Netflix instant link to it, too, I'd love you forever tongue
(You can never satisfy a crowd 100%)

That was ridiculously entertaining!

While I haven't seen The World's End, I also take note that I don't particularly like watching any of those actors on screen at all.

Christmas eve:
Traditionally made pork ribs, potatoes, sauerkraut, carrots and gravy. Some sausages too. Pretty standard and boring stuff, but the others love it, so I'll play along and eat.
Yesterday included a huge-ass steak, and Doctor Who.

Also, this year I also received socks. From the generous people that gave me BATTERIES last year, I got a donation to the malaria fund in my name. So you could say I've donated my fair share of nets this year. I also got a Psychic Container from my brother, which now acts as the perfect nightstand light.
My grandmother struck twice this year, by providing me with another bottle of Cognac, even though I keep telling her I loathe the brown liquids. I suppose it makes a better decoration than a vodka bottle, but still. Some Whiskey wouldn't hurt, grandma!

The others got what they wanted, so I'll shut up and be happy on their behalf. My gf didn't even get me anything, but I suppose that's my fault, for not providing a wish.

And of course, being in the retail line of work, I've got to get up at 5:45AM tomorrow to go to work.

Christmas, eh?
