Topic: Fighting in Plain Sight

Well, the bad news is, we didn't make the final 12.  The good news is, we can share with you, FINALLY, the fruits of our labor.

I seriously can't thank my team enough.  From DiF'ers Teague, Brian, Ryan, and Mike, to people from this VERY community, like Paulou and Jeffrey Harrell, to colleagues of mine that helped out like Pierson Jacqueline, to all the fine folks who just decided they wanted to be a part of this, I'm truly honored that you guys volunteered your time and effort.  We ARE concocting some other plans for this.  More on that later, but now, please enjoy Fighting in Plain Sight.

Damn. That's one hell of a story. It's a great doc. You build tension really effectively. This certainly seems like the kind of thing that could be significantly expanded. Well done.

Very impressive, but ya, its clearly a story begging for a longer run-time, I can see how hard it must've been to try to compress that to 7 min. I think the interesting part of the story to me would be Ralph's own perspective and reasoning on the whole thing. Kind of like the way The Imposter handled its story.
What drives a guy into trying to pull off a deception like that, what's his perspective on it at this point. Also, for a guy that seemed to be so nice and welcoming to everyone, what drove him to murder.

Really think this could make an amazing feature length doc, or an hour long that would fit right in with Espn's 30 for 30 series.

Wow guys, that was impressive as hell. Really nicely done.

Although the filmmaker in my head is screaming out to know the significance of shooting your subjects with that days newspaper. Is it just a proof of the time and place thing?
