True, thats why they can never turn the engine off on tanks. Without it running, you can pull the barrels off with your hands.

It's a comic book movie, dude, it's not real life. You are being quite pissy about this you know big_smile

Because this movie, the third in a trilogy (there have been 3 iron man movies about his origin story), turns around and says "you know Thor? Weaker than a nine year old child".

Well no, the suit was essentially dead, there was no power in it so anyone could have taken the finger off.

And I'd rather the suits be made of aluminum foil than indestructible, because when you've got that many suits already, you can very easily make things too easy for the hero.

But here you sum up some of the problems with the movie. Why did the writers think so many suits were a good idea if it meant they had to cheat by completely ruining the consistency of the other movies in the process?

In what way? I totally buy that a traumatised Tony made all those other suits in order to try to get over his ordeal in New York.

I only saw some of the BBC show but while this is based on that, it looks different. I checked online and they've added humans to the mix for the big screen version while the show was a documentary type deal. Meh.

It's getting some great reviews over here from the likes of Empire and Total Film. Some of the newspapers too smile

Ok, cool smile

To make myself useful, I have decided to pimp the newness. Am I allowed to say the old name of the podcast while saying the new one? I mean using it in my sig on other forums etc.

Oh, cool. I've been meaning to get one anyway, but if there's no rush.... big_smile

I may want to join in at some point, I have a microphone I want to use but I need to get a camera.

How do you know what John and I get up to, Holden? Huh? HUH?  Oh, I see........never mind.

Seriously, though, I love that he instinctively changes accents like that. My mum's friend does it too as she has an American daughter and Scottish family and friends. It's pretty cool.

Barrowman is a Scot. Yes he is, don't argue big_smile

Actually, for those of you that have seen it, would you say it's better than the second one, or is it worse?

I think it is much better than the second film. I enjoyed it.  I'm not sitting thinking about its faults, every film has them and any that IM3 has really don't bother me.

Oh Winona Ryder, the crush I had on you in my early teens was immense. You made my girlfriend at the time jealous, you little minx.

Wow, Tomahawk, really? BDA says he as in him personally is loving the season, your post was kind of unnecessary as he wasn't speaking for you. And Matt Smith is bloody brilliant as the Doctor. My opinion, obviously.

Also, BDA, the eps that are showing right now are still part of series/season 7 smile

Undue or not, I appreciate it. Although I am disappointed I didn't get one for 'The Crazy Fun Time Movie Podcast With Four Friends In Your Head'. I understand why I didn't but I'm disappointed nonetheless big_smile

One of my favourite Ebert quotes was this gem on Freddy Got Fingered-

“This movie doesn’t scrape the bottom of the barrel. This movie isn’t the bottom of the barrel. This movie isn’t below the bottom of the barrel. This movie doesn’t deserve to be mentioned in the same sentence with barrels.”

And this one on B.A.P.S.-

"My guess is that African Americans will be offended by the movie, and whites will be embarrassed. The movie will bring us all together, I imagine, in paralyzing boredom."

And then these-

"I had a colonoscopy once, and they let me watch it on TV. It was more entertaining than The Brown Bunny."

"The Last Airbender is an agonizing experience in every category I can think of and others still waiting to be invented."

"Battlefield Earth is like taking a bus trip with someone who has needed a bath for a long time. It's not merely bad; it's unpleasant in a hostile way."
