I've almost finished with Boter & SD's quiz. There's a good mix of things in there, so hopefully, I've struck a nice balance.

How about we do it tournament style? Winners Vs Winners for the next round
Boter vs. ShadowDuelist
Saniss vs. Regan
Sounds good to me! If you guys wanna give me three 'specialist subjects' each, I can tailor a quiz specifically around you, so it's not just movies all the time. Unless you wanna stick with movies, in which case, that's absolutely fine too.
Hey, it doesn't always have to be a movie quiz. I just went with movies as it's pretty much the commom denominator between us all. Maybe if you and Boter throw two or three specialist subjects each my way, I'll be able to whip something up that's a bit more suited?
QUIZ IN YOUR QUARANTINE
One will rise.
One will fall.
Who will be crowned the King of Quarantine?
Episode 01 - Teague vs. Faldor WATCH ON TWITCH
Episode 02 - Boter vs. ShadowDuelist WATCH ON TWITCH
Episode 03 - (Temp Regan) Teague vs. Saniss WATCH ON TWITCH
It's a quiz show for all us forum weirdos, let's do this! If any of you wanna take part at all, lemme know and I'll get another one sorted.
Babymetal
I got convinced by a few folks I used to work with to go and see these live, and holy crap it was awesome. If you don't know Babymetal, they're a group of Japanese girls that sing and dance along to a masked metal band. I went to the gig only really casually knowing a few songs, but I left a fan.

I was actually considering starting a 'Where Are You Now?' thread with all the returning faces showing up lately.
I have genuinely been behind the wheel of one of those during a school trip. It was likely highly illegal, but they let a whole group of school kids take turns driving (piloting?) the thing around the docks.
I inherited my late uncles cat, got a dog, had a kid, and went to LA where Teague, Ryan and myself recorded a Phantom Menace commentary.
I say recorded a commentary, I just fanboyed.
Wtf, drew?
I second this. Wtf Drew?
As the forum's resident Clone Wars lover, you can bet I squee'd hard over the Darksaber.
So, I saw The Rise of Skywalker twice on opening day. The first time around, I really did not like it. I wouldn't say I particularly hated the film or anything, it just didn't do anything for me. For the entire movie, I felt nothing. I had to go back for a second time to either see if I was wrong in the first place or make my peace with it. And well...I kinda liked it?
Don't get me wrong, I still don't love it. If I were to rank them all, it would probably come in at dead last. But after just letting go of all the baggage, I was able to just relax and take the film for what it is - a (clunky) big, sprawling, space opera. But unlike The Last Jedi, where the more I thought about it, the more I appreciated it - The Rise of Skywalker just doesn't have that lasting effect.
I feel like I have so much to say about this film, and at the same time - I really don't want to, the internet has enough negativity out there. I started typing this post with the intent of laying out all my thoughts about TROS - but fuck that. I know people who didn't like TLJ so much that it has consumed them, and almost become tied to their identity. Fuck. That.
"Once you start down the dark path, forever will it dominate your destiny".
I'm not gonna pretend that I don't have any problems with this movie, I do - a whole bunch of 'em (and Faldor has the chat logs to prove it), but to paraphrase a quote from the last film, I don't want to fight what I hate. I want to cherish what I love.
Like Babu Frik. Babu Frik is awesome.
The Star Wars saga has meant so much to me throughout pretty much my entire life. It's just a shame that this saga went out, not with a bang - but with a whimper.
Oh my god, YES ALICE! YES!!!
I want to get all of us in a room together and do this shit all night long.
You're telling me there's a virtual karaoke bar we could all be at?!
Boter, I love you.
So, my voice is pretty awful today and I kept getting plagued by sync issues, but in the spirit of the thread - fuck it!
Oh god, I'm definitely doing this. I don't know when I'll be able to do it that won't disturb people and/or wake up the baby, but I am totally on board.
I saw The Formula before I ever saw The Matrix, High Fidelity or Jaws, which made for some interesting first viewings. You know the feeling you get when you see a movie that The Simpsons has parodied? I got that hard with these thanks to The Formula. I'm reminded of the time I first heard Baba O'Riley outside of the DLR theme tune and had this real feeling of disconnect, where the real world and my weird internet world merged together.
I also have a very cringe-worthy memory of (actually) 12 year old me asking Chris Hanel if I could do my own remake...
Back to that poster tho. What is that broken pillar thing that Rey and (Kylo? is that you? That's your sword but your head's a little... off) are fighting upon? It looks kinda familiar, but then Star Wars is full of greebley pillars, so, could be anything...
I’m pretty sure they’re fighting on the remains of the Death Star, which we saw in the first teaser. As for that specific piece they’re fighting on? I’ve seen people say it could be the column where Obi-Wan disables the tractor beam in ANH, but it could just be standard Star Wars greeblies.
Also, I’ll happily watch Teague rage at Photoshop any day of the week.
EDIT: You guys beat me to it!
As far as I know, it's a teaser poster and not THE poster. Something more akin to this (which incidentally, is my favourite of the new-era Star Wars posters) from The Last Jedi.
As for the actual composition of the poster itself, I think it would look great if it were a bit more painterly and stylised. I quite like this Photoshopped version I've seen floating around.

The DIF spreadsheet made me finally sit down and watch Little Shop of Horrors, and holy crap, that ticked all of the boxes for me. Now, I've got a nice and fresh commentary to listen to!
I'm on 55% of movies that we've had DIF commentaries for. As for how many I've listened to though? I have no idea. I've listened to plenty of commentaries for films I've not seen and would typically hang around during the live streams even if it was something I hadn't seen.
I love a good bourbon.
