That's why. You force your own opinions onto others, and although it might be meant ironically or as sarcasm, pulling sarcasm off online is tricky at best, without using emoticons.

No hard feelings.

Move along, move along.

September(UK), IIRC.

BDA: Chill pill, here on the table, come eat it. I meant no harm, I only expressed my personal opinion. We can all blander and argue who's(pun very much intended) the better Doctor, but it all comes down to taste.

But we can, however, agree on the best companions.

It's Amy, for being insanely hot, AND Scottish. Double win. (Or Rose, for being so damn awesome.)

The answer is hidden in the dark, obviously.

I would partake, but I'm stoked for ideas related to the Olympics.

No, 'cause in this case, you're outnumbered. And outgunned. And out...WHATEVER, YOU CAN'T MAKE A WITTY COMEBACK THIS TIME!

on topic:
Tennant was my favorite, but I agree he left at the perfect time. My Girlfriend clings to Eccleston like baby to a teat(her own words), and nobody I know prefer Smith. I don't mean to say I hate him at all, I still enjoy the show, and "The Doctor's Wife" is one of my all-time favorites, up there with "The Girl In The Fireplace", "End of Time", "The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances" and "The Eleventh Hour", but his childish nature and "I know(from the latest xmas special) is just too much. Also, when you're gonna use Bill Bailey, fuckin' use him, not just have him be in it for 2 minutes.

Can't wait to see Mark Williams and David Bradley in season 7 though ^^

I'm a bit torn. Not only because David Tennant is, and will forever be MY Doctor, but because I'm getting fed up by Smith's performance. It's not that I don't like Smith, he's a great actor, I'm just sick of his interpretation of the Doctor; jolly, child-like and eccentric, with very few serious moments of seriousness.
That being said, though, next year marks the 50th anniversary. If they don't do something like "The Two Doctors" or "The Five Doctors", I will be very cross with them.

Blu-Ray. Nothing really beats it as of now. Rips and digital versions simply aren't there just yet. I've seen iTunes material in Hi-Def, and it's good, don't get me wrong, but on 50"+, you're going to want to have as little compression artifacts as possible. Blu-Ray is where it's at.

I recently purchased "Fight Club" on Blu-Ray, and while the physical box is nothing compared to the 2-disc special edition DVD I own, the picture quality is a lot better on the Blu-Ray. You can actually SEE that Angel Face is played by Jared Leto now tongue

Of course, there's also the feel of owning the physical media. Years back, A friend and me argued which had the better movie collection; his 500GB HDD crammed to the brim, or my 300 DVD's. We both agreed that the shelf looked more impressive, and felt a lot better than folders and AVI files of varying quality.

Also, special editions with all that bonus material is easier to get by on the physical media. Which is nice.

The punchline idea is awesome. The others.. Expensive, yeah.

As for the end bit, it was literally thrown together in 30 minutes. I was originally planning to go for a much more complex shot, but I realized it wasn't necessary to get the point across, so I scrapped it, and made a half-ass stock-footage-shot instead. tongue

EDIT: The punchline idea might even make it into a 'sequel' or alternative viewpoint skit at some point in time.

So, yeah.

At least we had fun doing it smile

Of course, feel free to watch in 1080p. It looks remarkably good, for my standards.
I even used a makeshift steadycam-ish rig, aka a tripod.

Weekly Creations™? I'm game.

But I also like the idea of song covering. We could have a weekly song, and let people that want to cover it cover it. Of course they could wind up collaborating, if they want to.
Then there should also obviously be the other choices, like short films, drawing pictures etc. Don't make it a compo, make it fun smile

"When you found out you were going to be a father, did you feel too young/not ready or anything like that? Or did the parental instincts just kick in?"

It wasn't planned, so I wasn't ready at all for it, but once he was born, the parental instinct kicked in and saved me. I had no idea how to treat a newborn, but I guess I did it right.

Sure, I'll play along.

My name is Tom, I'm 26. I was born and raised in a small municipality with only 10.000 Inhabitants known as Vågan, based in the Lofoten Islands in Norway. I attended primary school until I was 16, flunked out of junior high thrice, and since then, I've been on and off jobs like you wouldn't believe it. I've worked on onion crops, bingo halls, graphic design studios, farming factories, fish processing plants, I've been a street salesman, I've worked as a freelance VFX artist, I've done acting, flipped burgers etc. Currently I'm employed at the Norwegian equivalent of circuit city (or buy more, if you ever watched 'Chuck'), and I'm signed up for a year long contract there. I'm happy with it. I get to sell products I like, I get physical work in the storage warehouse, and I ride a back to and from work, which gives me about 8 miles worth of workout each day.

When I was 20, I became a father, and again 3 years later. I now have a 6 year old boy, and a 3 year old boy. Both with a woman I'm not currently in a relationship with. My current girlfriend and I have been going steady for a year and a half, and she has a 3 year old daughter from an earlier relationship I gladly take on the role as stepfather for.

I have a brother, 5 years younger than me, and a sister, 10 years younger than me. My brother just finished a year in the military, and is now attending university. My sister is going to junior high this fall.
My brother lived with his father, while my sister and I lived with our mother. I have a great relationship with my brother, but my sister.. not so much. She's 15, what did you expect, right?

I've performed music live infront of crowds, I've been in plays, and I've acted for a local film school. I'm currently taking singing lessons to improve, and I'm playing the guitar every day. My passions are filmmaking, visual effects, photography and music. I smoke, drink, and have spent a little under a year being a stoner, smoking weed. I've tried Amphetamine and Cocaine, and mushrooms, and have been addicted to neither. I've had signs of alcoholism, but nothing serious, and I'm sure nothing above the average unemployed 23 year old male would have either.

I'm smart, if smarts are measured in IQ(a score I've measured to 131), witty and sarcastic. I'm flirty and social. I hate mornings, and love nights. I've slept around more than I care to think about, and I've been in more fights than I should've been.

My facebook friends list says 208. My real life friends list is closer to 8.

So go ahead; Ask me anything.

Also, "Voucher" means "tilgodelapp" which literally means "for good note".

1) Godfather pt 2 and 3.
2) Die Hard trilogy
3) Citizen Kane
4) Casablanca
5) 2001.
6) Apocalypse now

And 1, 2, 5 and 6 are all in my shelf. Just never been in the mood for any of them. Then again, I guess I don't know the mood needed to be in to watch them either.

EDIT: I've also yet to watch a Rocky movie. But I also have no desire to do so.

EDIT 2: I did, however, watch "Breakfast at Tiffany's" the other day, and I was entertained throughout.

As some of you might know(as in non-english people); translation is a funny business. This thread is dedicated to funny translations that go from English to your language, and then back again.

Ok, I suck at explanation, but here's a few examples.

Reboot in Norwegian is "Omstart". However, translated directly/literally, it's "Omstøvle", which, translated literally back to English, spells out "rebooting", but in a manner of putting your boots back on.

Another phrase is "Of course". translated correctly, it's "Så klart", but that traslated back to English is "So clear", and "Of course" literally translated is "av kurs", which then, in turn, translates back to "Off course".

Got any other fun examples?

Yup, that's pretty much exactly as I imagined Liverpool. It lacks a touch of red, however.
