Didn't he claim to have a prequel and sequel to Red Tails in mind not a few days ago? What was that all about, then?

Ooh, I forgot about Gravity! Also, I'm kind of excited for Cabin in the Woods, The Great Gatsby, and Les Miserables.

I'm not sure I can rank them perfectly, but I know that these films would be on the list in approximately this order.

Prometheus
The Dark Knight Rises
Looper
Lincoln
Titanic 3D (a cheat, perhaps, but it's one of the first that comes to mind)

Nice to see some love for Chronicle! I think it'll be a breakout hit.

I still have "Gibtown" stuck in my head  smile

"Mister Perfect" was really catchy.

I just saw The Descendants last night, and I had a problem with the narration. It shows up at the beginning to lay down exposition, and then it disappears for the rest of the film. Otherwise, I liked the movie a lot, but that lazy writing really bugged me.

Also, I guessed before the credits rolled that two different people (or two teams) worked on the script. Some of the dialogue was great, but a lot was kinda cheesy and overblown.

I'll admit, I'm a tad bit disappointed that Transformers 3 didn't make the cut, but otherwise I'm psyched about this list. Looks like I have to watch Unforgive now...

I think that's right. Collector's edition has his deleted scenes without the extra spaceship stuff at the end.

My dearest, loveliest Teague,

My days at present are ill and black. A grim cloud o'erhangs my every thought, and sometimes I feel that my very mind has been sicklied over with evil and chaos. There is but one thought that awakens me to action each gray morning, and that thought is of you.

For when my ever-troubled mind rests on your beautious image, evil turns its back on me. The glimmering light of your complexion strikes sparks onto the eternal dark of the night. Once, your bright red hair was the magical flame that kindled my very soul, and now the brown that rests softly on your head soothes me, and brings me to an inner peace. Your full beard is a constant reminder of a bountiful harvest field, and your eyes hath in them more pulchritude than a million million stars.

O Teague, O Teague, from where did you come? Surely not from heaven, for the voices of every angel together in song surely could not match your beautiful vocal expression. And it is known that whenever your digits touch the keys of a piano, even the greatest composers tremble in their graves, ashamed and astonished to behold true art. "Oh god!" they cry, "Mine ears doth quake with this everlasting beauty! My abilities would fill a teacup as his overflow a hogshead! Oh lord, do strike mine ears from off my head before I am driven into madness by this overwhelming magnificence!"

But Teague, your image can only defend my mind from horror for so long. Every day is a struggle, a torture, a hardship. And you are the only force in the vast and monstrous cosmos that can uphold the small goodness in it. Teague, you are that small goodness. You are a tiny ray of light in an uncaring world. You are my only hope for a life beyond pain.

Teague, you are the only star worth wishing on when night falls.

Yours in love,

Doctor Submarine

Wow, that was actually a fun writing exercise. I highly recommend it.

A biopic about Roger Ebert.

Are Ebert jokes fair game? Because I've got a whole stack here and I've been waiting for the go-ahead.

Doctor I listen math about first time.

(No count "The Films" as film, me.  smile)

I love how both the stupid versions of Trey and Dorkman are still miles beyond the average person who posts on the internet in terms of intelligence. Your spelling and punctuation are correct, for starters.

It's times like this that I fully comprehend how rare a forum like this is on the internet. I love you guys.

I think I know why you thought there were 18 films on the list.

Here's a spreadsheet I made last night. It is updated every time someone posts a new list to ensure up-to-the-minute accuracy.

I might have OCD.

EDIT: My Top 6 is different from Maul's. I think he might have missed the more recent votes.

What I mean is that, because each film is split onto two discs, how will they do the unpause point for that second disc? It doesn't have studio logos or anything.

Last Airbender is one of the worst movies I've seen...well, ever. It is also fucking hysterical. People were rolling in the aisles when I saw this film.

Bow Out

An incredibly tense thriller about an actor (Geoffrey Rush) who is fitted with an explosive by a terrorist organization on the night of his biggest show in years. Once he bends over to take his final bow, he can't stand up, or the bomb explodes! Can he take the pressure? Will the audience continue to cheer for him long enough for the bomb to be remotely disabled? Will anyone actually give us money to watch this movie?
