We're very close now, guys. I'm almost done the SFX for the last part of "Dust". I might try some different music and have to go over the entire project to check levels, fix any issues and whatnot, but other than that I'll be ready to start putting this to video perhaps even tonight.

I just wanted to take the time to thank Tomahawk, Zarban, Rob and Teague for their generous contributions.

I'll let you know when things are finished.

Agreed, Jimmy. Catherine Tate is a perfect example of casting someone who may not be "pretty" in a young-skinny-sexy way but who was fantastic in her role. Fuck, Baker wasn't pretty. He's an ugly bastard, yet he's so many people's favorite Doctor.

also, given how old most of the Doctors' incarnations were, I really don't know what to think of this reaction  hmm

Why not an east Indian Doctor? Or a Māori Doctor? A Brazilian Doctor?

  Show
But in "The Name of the Doctor", we saw they're really a web of time energy in the end. And isn't regeneration all random, anyways?

Would YOU wanna hang around a young, mopey Aragorn for the rest of your days?

What about a woman Doctor? Is there something in the mythology that says he can't change gender? Didn't the Corsair do that? It was possible for him/her, why not dear old Doctor?

Peter Weller, John Lithgow, Geoff Goldblum, Christopher Lloyd and Clancy Brown in the same fucking movie. It's like a wet dream.

I love the shit out of Buckaroo Banzai. I saw it when I was about 6 and the image of the Jet Car driving through the mountain has been stuck in my mind my entire life.

Tonally, it is a bit of a mess. The pacing's weird. The whole premise is bizarre. And I love it. And those end credits...

Production update on "Dust":

  • Vocal tracks cleaned up and levels normalized

Also, since we have a few contributors to this project. I'd like to know a few things.

1. How each of you would like to be credited in the video: real name vs. forum handle? If it's real name, we can handle that via PM or whatever you're comfortable with.
2. How you'd like to be credited in the video description: are there any particular URLs/skill sets/etc you'd like me to mention/point to, etc?
3. For Teague: is it okay if I pimp FIYH and its community in the description?

Just did an audit of the 25 min file.

Only about 86 sound effect cues to go.

I'd be happy to write one, if everyone's cool with that. First dibs on self-casting, though.

How long are we thinking?

Definitely cool with that. Maybe like a 10-15 minute thing? How long were the old serials? I'm thinking maybe 5-6 characters? Maybe more?

We need some women.
