Also a note: try and test yourself in the morning, as you should still continue your pushup sets that day. So on sunday, test yourself, then  do a set of pushups (based on the new max) after resting.
Therefore, sunday has a test, then three sets.
Every other day has 4 sets.

Also I've pinned this spreadsheet to my chrome tabs, so it's always glaring at me for a reminder smile Might work for you chaps.

I'll make a column with examples. Super simple, just what # of max pushups you can do each week, your goal, and an X on each day for accountability.

Anyone wanting to join in on this can technically do so anytime they wish.

Here's the simple: Pick a day to test the maximum number of consecutive pushups you can complete with good form. Write that number down, then quadruple it: this second number is your new goal.

Here's the workout:
Each day of the week, you're going to do half of your max pushups every four hours. Four times a day. 8, noon, 1600, and 2000 is an example, but pick whatever time works for you.
On the 7th day, test your max again. Use that number going forward: half it (rounding down) for the number of pushups you do per set.

On the third week, add a fifth set, adjusting your schedule accordingly. Fortunately, if you just can't take little breaks to do a handful of pushups, you can do two sets in the morning and two or more in the evening. It's not important exactly when you do the sets, just that there is AT LEAST 30 minutes of rest between each set.

So instead of one big workout every other day or so, you're doing a lot of little ones throughout every day.

Once you hit your goal (quadruple the number of your first test), you can set a new one if you'd like. Ultimately, you should be able to do 50 consecutive pushups, at which point you can pick a more challenging variation (inclined pushups, one-leg-support pushup, etc) to build more strength.

EXAMPLE:
Say your current max is 10. You'll do 4 sets of 5 pushups for six days, with the sets spaced out as much as possible.
On the seventh day, test yourself: max is now 13. You'll do 4 sets of 6 pushups for six days.
Seventh day, test: max is 15. 4 sets of 7 pushups per day.
Seventh day, 3rd week test: max is 18. 5 sets of 9 pushups per day.
And so on.

Feel free to add yourself if you wish to join anytime. Put an X on each day you complete. Don't worry if your max is lower than someone else's: that doesn't matter. This is just about us doing it.

Pretty sure Costco has a good deal on non-screaming curtains.

Seeing your render of the Hyacinth design made me want to build a model of it. So.....I understand your impulse.

Shared. I know a couple people who are interested.

Yeah, buddy, no problem smile whatever works for the project.

Fireproof, I updated the folder with a new Intelligence symbol that uses stars per your suggestion. Let me know what you think.

(it's over-rated...)

Yeah you could darken it just a tad, but also it's pretty heavily contrasted against the grimdark forum page, so it may not really be an issue.

I've uploaded Intelligence and Serenity into the same folder as the above link, Fireproof. Lemme know whatcha think.
Also, I put intelligence on a black BG because it was burning my retinas. I can do whatever BG changes you'd like on any of them, though.

While this is mainly a subjective project, if you're going for simple and meditative, I'd recommend against glow effects and gradients. They look cool, but tend to get cluttered real quick.

No worries. Art is way down on the list big_smile
Though, I'll admit, kickass art would be incredibly motivational!

Built a checklist of stages on the project. Retroactively checking things off the list was satisfying as hell.
Still have a LOT of work left.

That's cool!

Here's a link to a folder with the first couple symbols. I made Strength and Creativity. I'm not sure I'll be able to get to others but I'll try.

Let me know if you need the original PSD files.

Also let me know if this is nothing like what you had in mind. I'm good to keep trying. smile

Yeah I remembered after talking to Teague. He also said way back when he first read it that he was willing to do art. So I'm grateful for whatever. Right now I'm just thinking about the static art for the website

Here's a link to my sketch of a typical MRS. Overall dimensions of the engine arms should be a bit more symmetrical than I was able to hand-draw, but you'll get the idea. The "Crew quarters and Ops" section could probably afford to be 2 or 3 times longer, to account for fuel storage. Whatever works.
If you have any questions, guys, lemme know.

EDIT: I probably can't give you a hard answer on scaling, but it's big. My rough mass estimate is a little heavier than the biggest aircraft carrier.

I'll paste the basic description of an MRS' operations here:
"The Hyacinth itself is above 400,000 tons (a bit heavier than an aircraft carrier), and capable of extracting and hauling a great deal of semi-refined ore. It resembles a gigantic hammer, with the ‘handle’ turned toward the surface of whatever asteroid it is working on. A thick tether runs from the bottom this handle to the surface.
Ordinarily the ship runs with a crew of 50 or so people, but for this secret mission, it is running on a skeleton crew of 6. This is possible mainly because the mission is a simple deep-scan operation that would ordinarily be performed by a dedicated (much smaller) vessel.
The basic operation of an MRS is to send crew members to drill to and plant explosives in deposits of ore, blasting the material into small chunks. A massive net (extended from the ship’s ‘handle’) funnels the rock into the ship, where it is sorted and blasted in levels called “smithies,” which can be detached once at capacity to serve as ore containers for transport."

I'm down for graphics making. Been meaning to use photoshop, since I'm subscribed tongue
I'm a little tired to come up with ideas right now, but if you nail down what emotions you're representing, I'll pick a couple and art the heck out of 'em or whatever.

Weirdly, he actually looks like Teague and a young tom everett:
