Another good choise would be Frank Miller's The Spirit. It is a weird mix of slapstick and trashy noir, yet it somehow works, surprisingly (I was expecting a giant failure).
I thought it was bloody awful. but you know, different strokes and all that
I like that Night of the Creeps is on that poster too. I just bought the Blu Ray, had to import it as it isn't available in the UK
I am a bit of a fan of voice actors too, I've worshipped Frank Welker since I was a kid (I'm a Hanna-Barbera fan and couldn't get enough of Scooby Doo growing up). I would honestly say Welker is a legend too, he's so versatile and is widely regarded as one of the best in the business. (Mel Blanc was the daddy though, in my opinion)
I saw the BTTF game vid the other day and was blown away. The guy who voices Marty is fricking awesome, so uncanny.
It's real. It was made in 1976 and starred Kristine DeBell who was actually super cute, in my opinion. It was one of those 'real actress has body double' deals, though as DeBell only gave head, the penetration shots were of someone else. Quite odd, back in those days that bj's weren't considered hardcore, apparently.
Oh, and yes, it was also a musical- Clicky
Fair enough. A shite film is a shite film, is all I'm saying. Low budget films can still be good if they are written and directed well. Survival just isn't.
He somehow managed to do 3 new movies in 5 years, which may account somewhat for the last one suffering a bit.
He didn't have to though, did he? I don't really see that as an excuse for Survival being dreadful.
Good commentary. I like the '78 DOTD but that may be down to being the first zombie film I remember seeing back in the 80s. Night of the Living Dead is the better film though, I feel.
Can I just add though, Romero has actually made 6 zombie films, not 5-
Night, Dawn, Day, Land, Diary and Survival. The last one is shite and is sort of a sequel to Diary and features zombies on an island. It came and went though, it's easy to leave it out
No, I'm not. 34 isn't even middle aged. Next year on the other hand......
I don't think I'm old but I'm not looking foward to 40

You're probably younger than me, so i'm the one who's jealous. And happy birthday.
Thank you and a belated happy birthday to you, I should have said it yesterday. That was quite rude of me, sorry.
And the age thing is interesting, isn't it? You can't always tell the age of someone by reading their posts, I have no clue if I'm older or younger than you. If it helps, I turned 34 today.......
Also, today's my birthday. 10/10/10. Eerie.
My birthday is tomorrow....nowhere near as eerie. So jealous!
As long as Shifty doesn't chime in
Who, me? Nah, I'm Scottish, no point in looking to me for proper use of punctuation
I'm not really bothered to be honest. I don't think I can download it in the UK, though I'm not 100% sure. Anyway, I'm not complaining, I'm more than happy to wait
(and I'm sure I can get it less than legally through a torrent downloading thingymabob if I really have to)
While I agree with Maul2, I also think 'fuck it, why not?' We don't have to listen to every commentary they do, maybe the Monsters one can be left for later for those of us who can't watch it at the moment? The film is released in the UK in November and even then, I'm not in a huge rush, so I'll save this particular one until I get round to it.
I'm trying to lose weight and that cake, though lovely would seriously fuck up my diet plans
(I know the cake isn't real but the fact that you actually searched for a photo of a cake that had 100 on it is cool )
Ok, I actually lol'd at that, well done, sir
(Oh, and this is my 100th post! Yay, it's totally meaningless!)
Ah, so Trey's the lucky one
Yeah, the Room is not supposed to be a comedy it just turned out that way. It's mostly the delivery of the lines by the star/writer/director/producer with his accent that isn't specific to anywhere on the planet that makes it funny
It would be weird to hear you guys do a commentary on it but I think you all should at least watch it.....
It would be interesting to see if Tommy Wisuea throws his toys out his pram at your guys like he did with Doug over at That Guy With The Glasses. He told him to get rid of his review even though Doug actually recommended the film (although maybe for the wrong reasons). Obviously, he showed clips of the film and you dudes wouldn't, but you never know.
The Room is one of those films that just leaves you opened mouthed, it really is that awful. The characters are all cunts, there is not a single likeable one among them therefor there is nobody to root for. You're supposed to care for the main guy but he is so vile it really is difficult to give a shit. On the plus side though, it is actually (unintentionally, mind) funny and the dialogue and the delivery of it is so jaw-droppingly terrible it verges on genius
Can I just say to Trey- you didn't freak me out this time, dude
Cool article. I was surprised then proud when I saw it was a UK mag.
Me too
Don't forget us little people! I'm available for Hanger On duty on the UK tour.
Me too
I'm liking it, fo shizzle..... Och, I'm too white.
