Topic: Voice acting.

I'm a huge fan of voice actors, I've repeatedly spent evenings looking at YouTube clips of Billy West and Maurice Lamarche and Rob Paulsen and John Dimaggio and Tom Kane, not to mention the various Disney character voices. (Bill Farmer? Just YouTube him.) And let's just agree that Mel Blanc gets automatic god-status.

Anyway, this video blows my mind. This is the kid they cast as Marty in the BTTF game.

I love the community and fandom for these guys.

Spooky. I've been wondering why MJF hasn't done more voice work, since his timbre is so distinctive and he's limited now in what physical acting he can do. But this. This is amazing.

The story reminds me a bit of Nicholas Briggs, the guy who does the Daleks now for Doctor Who. He just loved the show and did fan stuff and got noticed. Now he does about all the voicework.

Warning: I'm probably rewriting this post as you read it.

Re: Voice acting.

I am a bit of a fan of voice actors too, I've worshipped Frank Welker since I was a kid (I'm a Hanna-Barbera fan and couldn't get enough of Scooby Doo growing up). I would honestly say Welker is a legend too, he's so versatile and is widely regarded as one of the best in the business. (Mel Blanc was the daddy though, in my opinion)

I saw the BTTF game vid the other day and was blown away. The guy who voices Marty is fricking awesome, so uncanny.

That is pristine.
And since people tend to bring up other voice actors, I'm throwing James Arnold Taylor in the mix. I first recognized his work for his part of Tidus in Final Fantasy X, but check him out. He's got a lot of voices in the clone wars series alone.

Re: Voice acting.

I'd be remiss if I didn't mention one of the greatest voices to ever grace the small screen.
