Re: "Extended Edition" Community Podcast
Saniss: No, not really. I play a lot of games. Well, offline games anyway. I can't stand MMO's.
Fireproof: Duly noted
Red: Sure, we'll take ya. If you're available on Monday at 9pm, GMT.

Only reason I've Steam is because Skyrim forced me to.
That's disappointing. Steam is pretty much responsible for saving PC gaming as a viable thing.

No, I agree. It's just not for me. Same with Origin. Only reason I'm on there is that SimCity made me.
I was never huge on PC gaming, to be honest. I think there's only a few genres that work better on a PC than consoles. FPS and RTS, mostly.
I have mixed feelings about Steam, on one hand, it's a pretty convenient way to get games, but on the other, it's quite intrusive when you're playing a game and gets in the should you be installing from a hardcopy.
Of course, in the wake of Steam, other similar platforms have emerged and these probably annoy me more - Origin is required for Battlefield 3, and I think Far Cry 3 required Uplay or something.
Alright, I'm up for doing a gaming episode tomorrow evening at around 11PM my time. (UTC+1)
But first, it looks like we'll be discussing SHIELD, and we could squeeze in one or two people, so Red, if you're available, you're more than welcome.
Dave, I take it the time zones would be killer, as you're like 10 hours ahead of me, but if you're up for it, feel free to join in on the gaming part.
Sorry, I'll be at work. Maybe next time?
I should be around tomorrow at that time. Off to watch the first episode again.
Thanks for letting me come back guys.
Hey, it was fun!
Also, Pokemon episode was awesome!
Staaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaars
(hopes for the future trilogy. Warning: Does Not Contain A Scottish Person)
Anyway, casting call time! Young Mr Ward and myself are recording a show soon of Hanna-Barbera and we have one or two spots open. It won't be for another few weeks as Owen is doing a bit of a re-watch of some cartoons. A general knowledge of the animation studio and a liking of their shows would be awesome. A good sounding microphone is essential.
Oh man, I missed Star Wars. I'm a "that's a Blastech E-11 rifle, you know" level fan. Looking forward to listening to this one.
I'm pretty sure this will not be our only Star Wars conversation

Blastech E-11? I like it but, for some reason, I always liked the DH-17 or the scout trooper pistol (yes, that is what it is called
Did you guys ever talk about Torchwood? Because, if not, you should, because I really don't get it, but would love some other points of view.
I only ever watched Miracle Day which was shite. Been told so many times to watch the rest and especially (by Faldor) Children Of Earth.
I went to Torchwood if it helps. See Road Trip

I did notice that...
I was more curious for a non-American point of view, since I look at Torchwood and think its crazy and messed up, but that could just be me.
It really wasn't particularly well regarded over here. The first series was a clusterfuck, the second tried to improve but didn't really, the third suprised everyone by being amazing and the fourth came full circle to clusterfuck except with people who used to be in movies popping up.
Oh. I thought that it was just me being American and all that.
The kicker is the first two seasons each had at least one episode that showed it had the potential to be a very good series if it stopped messing around with wanker of the week and addressed some of the mythology it had started to establish.
