Re: Halp. (The DIF 3.0 Video.)

Yeah, my power was out all day. My notes will be done tomorrow.

It's obviously mostly an experiment as to how much work fans are willing to do, which later will be put to even more productive work smile

Can you grab Jaws? I'm really strapped for time at work (as in I have to do some) so can't run through and take notes atm.

I should be through FMJ today, but I can't possibly get through Alien before tomorrow, so that's out there if anyone's looking for more.

So what's still left to do now? I may be able to do one tonight.

Coincidentally, Pulp Fiction and Kill Bill ended up being the ones I pulled from the most, with 14 and 15 samples, respectively.

Thanks John, and everyone. Does anyone still have some they plan on doing, or is everyone exhausted? We can...we can stop.

Alien is on paper, I guess I won't push myself to type it up tonight then.  Peace out.

Re: Halp. (The DIF 3.0 Video.)

I've still go two that I haven't gotten to (Karate Kid & Sixth Sense), but ... i've got a delivery deadline approaching for a screening, so not getting as much downtime, with a working brain, to do some good note taking.
I plan on making a go of at least one tomorrow, but ... if anyone wants to snag either of them I won't be hurt by it.

Re: Halp. (The DIF 3.0 Video.)

I did try to do one for 2012. But after 2 relistens all I could come up with was 4

Dorkman losing the will to live at 6:40
Dorkman doesn't care about anyone, so shut the fuck up at 26:50
& there being no white people in the White House (apart from Oliver Platt)
And Kids in movies are dooshies at 37:36

( ok, maybe 3 1/2)

After that I couldn't think what else to note down, which might not go down too well with the team who would not doubt feel they must have said something else interesting / funny / informative in the other 160mins.  So I threw in the proverbial towel and had some chocolate.

You give out points for trying, right ?!  smile

Was 'The Mist' selected and done yet? Sorry to tread on toes but I remember Trey having a great comment about Darabont making the movie because he couldn't come around to your house and punch you in the gut.

Well, I'm open to literally all ideas on what to do with this information, but as of right now...no, it's just the video. What all ideas do you guys have? Could you elaborate on the playlists thing, Drew?

Re: Halp. (The DIF 3.0 Video.)

I guess it would either help out Ryan with his mash-up(s) or totally steal his thunder...it would make it easier for "us" to string together clips of shows (with or without the various coordinated video) to make you guys sound smarter or stupider as our whims dictate.  I can already hear a 3 minute piece of, "things Teague shouted from the bathroom," not to mention the, "Trey wins the argument," montage.

Not sure how much more than a text database it could be, though... are there any widgets or apps that make cloud-based audio editing possible? That'd be the extreme of my tech-nerdy inspiration.
