I visit Holden and attend his New Years party every year. Indiana is fucking ridiculous when it comes to weather, and the 12 inches of snow since I've gotten here is a bit much, but it serves at least one good party purpose.

I watched Django Unchained, then instead of getting drunk I fell asleep when I got home.
Pretty good New Years I think.
Spent it with my gf, my two sons and her daughter. I had one beer. At 1pm.
Played some Nintendoland with my girlfriend, not much else really 
.
Small party with friends, we played Cards Against Humanity and watched 30 Rock. Fun night.
I sat alone at home, putting comics and books into my new tablet to read. I typed 'Happy New Year' in the chat as soon as it turned midnight here then chatted to Faldor for a bit before falling asleep at about 2am.
Nice, peaceful and quiet, just the way I like it 
Stayed in with family, watched a great little old French comedy that's a bit of a tradition for us

We introduced Teague to CAH last night. Fun times, but it starts to get a little slow with like 12 people playing.
Fortunately (huh?) I completely lost my voice this week, so my only way of communicating with people was writing things down. After the whiteboard became too much of a pain, I just hooked up my laptop to the big screen in the living room and typed white text on black in fullscreen Photoshop for everyone to see.
This lead to me discovering what I hope to be my new career: snarky livetweet party commentary. I would seriously do this for a living, even a pittance of a living. I have never been funnier. It was a good night.
Also, I gave a speech.
"I thought you said you lost your voice?"
I didn't say it was a good speech.
Oh, yeah, and Holden, iJim, and Zarban all had to deal with me trying to figure out how to communicate with no voice. Success rate: 50%.

I went and hung out with my cousin. Then went to an AFI screening of The Posiedon Adventure. The AFI print was in excellent condition, and my cousin hadn't seen it before. So that was fun.

Went to a party, got very very drunk, ran around headbutting people. The night was a success.
new years eve: nothing, far to busy watching my nephew.
new years day: Partying with friends til far later than we had planned.
The resolution was to actually use this forum after vanishing for 3 months.
I'd use the clapping .gif again, but so soon seems cloying.

The text to speech program only works if *everyone* is using text to speech. Fun at first, but aggravating after a while.
So for his sins Teague got to hear me and Holden talk football and basketball.
