Some pretty big 50th anniversary special spoilery news announced today. I'm pretty excited, but feel really sorry for anyone who's trying to avoid any and all spoilers.

Doctor Who has a history of revealing spoilers themselves. Matt Smith's introduction was known long before End Of Time.

This weeks UK TV Listings Mag had as it's front cover a poster containing the baddies from EVERY SINGLE FORTHCOMING EP for the remainder of this season 
, and iiuc inside contained a detailed description of each of these eps - I say IIUC cos I'm in the "spoiler avoidance" camp so skipped all those pages. I really don't know why anyone would want such spoilers. 
- note to self: remember that at the end of each ep there's a spoiler filled trailer to the next one.

I always forget how much I miss Doctor Who until it is back on our screens. This episode was a bit freaky for me considering I spent a large portion of yesterday fiddling with wi-fi.

How do we feel about the new opening? It's kinda old-school, which is cool. Still, it'll take some getting used to.
Also, did anyone else notice the name on that book?

I enjoyed the episode, but it was more for Matt and Jenna than it was the episode itself. Been loving the new intro since Christmas, VERY Classic Who.
Was it just me or was this episode HEAVILY reminiscent of The Idiot's Lantern? Right down to the bike-riding. Better production values and set in the modern day, but otherwise...

Yeah! It was very much like The Idiot's Lantern. I thought it sounded similar when I read the episode description but then when I saw the bike riding out of the Tardis it cemented it for me.
I didn't expect the wee cameo towards the end.....

Okay, wow. I loved this episode so much. The action was great, Smith was well, Smith, and wow, the visuals. This has to be one of the most sexy looking episodes I've seen so far in Smith's era, although...
...you should definitely avoid shiny helmets when your camera is that close to the character.
I like the new intro, but I liked the old one's music better. The new one lacks rhythm to me. It loses that sense of crazy adventure the other one had.
I'm excited. Doctor Who's back. Wee-hee!

So, that was a pretty awesome episode, huh? Aside from a few details, it's pretty much identical to how my bar mitzvah went down.

I rather liked that one, although I'm in the middle of some compositing work and found myself just looking at Clara's hair in the comp shots!
