Does it come in a range of scents?
1. Is it something to do with music?
Not any form of music that I know of.
2. Animal, mineral, vegetable, conceptual?
Yes, it is certainly one of these!
...
I kid, mineral.
3. Is it solid at room temp?
It isn't.
4. Is it toxic to humans?
It's intended for people to use, but I wouldn't recommend consuming it.
5. Is it a beverage?
Only if you're a bit weird.
6. Is it used in a thermometer?
It is not used in a thermometer.
7. Is it a silicate mineral?
I, uh...had to Google that. Nope, not as far as I can tell anyway.
8. Is it a type of fuel?
It's not used as a fuel source, but Mr. Fusion may accept it?
9. Is it intended to be applied to some other object?
It is intended to be applied to something, but I wouldn't necessarily call it an 'object'.
10. Is it reddish in color?
Nope.
11. Is it used in cooking?
It is not used in cooking.
12. Is it a cosmetic?
Indeed it is!
13. Is it used to cover up blemishes?
It does not cover up blemishes, no.
14. Is it used for the eyes e.g. mascara?
It is not used on the eyes.
15. Sun cream?
It's not sun cream.
16. Does it come in a range of scents?
Not to my knowledge.
17. Does it start with the letter "M"?
It does not.
I was thinking moisturiser, however it's mineral - so not that.
I'd class moisturiser under mineral myself. It's not animal, vegetable or conceptual, right?

Lipstick's a solid at room temperature so it can't be that.
Ok, is it a type of cream?
Let's say we can retract questions until the point that the host answers the question.

Owen moisturises with rocks.

@fcw - For clarification, it is a liquid - but a rather thick one.
...a liquid cosmetic that is neither mascara nor perfume nor used to cover blemishes. Well...my vast and extensive knowledge of make-up is tapped.

Are we thinking about this the right way - could it be something like shampoo? What does Owen classify as cosmetic? Edit - no range of scents. Are all cosmetics used on the head?

When I say cosmetic, I mean something to achieve a look. Shampoo wouldn't count as it's more of a hygiene thing.

Not exactly. Although that could just be me being pedantic.

Not mousse, sorry!
It was...
HAIR GLUE!
Fcw, all is forgiven for mission patch. Owen now gets the slap - hair glue. FFS.
If you want to get really pedantic, it's not hair glue, as the bottle clearly says 'Spiking Glue'. We would have needed 30 questions to get that precision. But it's a subset of hair gel, so Dave should have got it, imho.

I think everyone gets to slap Owen for that one... everybody ready?...On three now...1! 2!...
Careful, he's covered in spiking glue. I assume that's code for something unmentionable.
Now that I've asked a question that was blatantly contra-indicated by a previous answer, I feel justified in saying "tut, tut."
If I get this wrong, I hope you can all find it in your hearts to forgive me, but...

Pity I couldn't have said it fast enough to enable a retraction, mind you.
