Re: Worst film you've ever seen?
It is really hard for me to quantify a movie as "bad" because often if they are stupid, I will laugh at their absurdity. Like Dave, being bad isn't grounds for me to "hate" a movie, because hate involves a level of emotional commitment I'm not willing to make towards a film.
However, recently, having had debates with others (here and elsewhere) about stupid films, I tried to be more critical. So "The Clone Wars" movie, the one released in theaters, gets a billing as a stupid movie, and my leaning towards it being an awful film. The voice-acting is absolutely wooden, with no expressiveness or life at all. The plot makes little to no sense and characters are just kind of thrown in there.
Rewatched "Orange County" one time and that is a pretty bad film too, though with some moments. However, the overall stupidity of the choices made by people land it as "bad" in my view.
Finally, no one mentioned "Battlefield Earth?" Or is that just universally considered bad without comment?
