Source filmmaker indeed. I'll post the animation itself when I get it to the point of at least having no glaring patches of yet-to-be-animated such as it is now

And here it is, not really finished but enough so that you can be like 'oh yeah, I see what you wanted to do there'
Covered "How Soon Is Now?" by The Smiths. Hopefully I didn't completely butcher it.
Hitchhiker's quotes around the edges? Color me intrigued.
Zarban wins points as literally the only person to notice that.
Does it have some hidden meaning?
I...Not really actually... these things are just gonna be plastered on the walls and I thought some text there would look cool, but thought just Lorem Ipsuming it was too dull.
Good catch though
Vampires, love and loss in the desert. I think this is some of my best work, personally.
Someone on /r/audioengineering asked for a "tl;dr" for audio compression. I was bored, and I wanted to figure out how to actually do the graphic that was in my head, so I made it.
I hoped it would be well-received, but... they really liked it, and a day later it's about to be more widely-seen than Sad Max. Such is life.
Anyway, I posted a brief "how I made it" essay on the sub, if anyone is curious about the specifics. I felt clever.
howdy folks...been a while.
Just finished up this album with my buddy from Earth to Eugene. We started sending ideas back and forth and then all the sudden, it turned into a full blown project. It's a shorty (just 30 minutes), but we're super happy with how it turned out. so listen loud and often.
thanks!
Haven't listened yet, but, god — I love that cover.
awesome...thanks peeps! it's interesting, the feedback has been all over the map and no one seems to say the same band. i take that as a good sign.
glad you like the cover. it's just a blown out photoshop filter, but seemed to work.
fun fact, i did the entire thing on my ipad, then sent it to my buddy in new york where he added guitar and lyrics.
also....if anyone has any interest is working with me to turn some of these into videos, i'd love to talk about it. shoot me an email.
thanks!

Well, it's really not my thing, but what I did listen to sounded well put together. And I mean damn dude, you made a thing, that alone is always fuckin awesome.
ha...thanks BDA. appreciate it. that's sort of my thought on it...it's a thing now. for a long time it was just a string of emails, but now it's tangible....damnit...ok, it's not. but it's still a thing!
Welp, I was nominated for the ice bucket challenge, and I hadn't done any video work in a long time, so I decided to try something weird. I really can't say that I captured the Fincher style, but it was sort of the idea behind it. Hey, I used a song from a Fincher movie, so that's something. All done in a day, of course, with zero regard for copyright law.
